Kings Lynn and Wealdstone tickets ?

That is being condescending to Wealdstone but never mind. Wealdstone are punching above their weight and they rightly wear that as a badge of honour, they've been successful for several years and clearly know what they're doing. The opposite is true of us. Also surely last Saturday must be their record league crowd then as I'm sure they had more than 1,400 vs Woking.

Woking had the side terrace on Saturday, and had 400 in there. So there might be scope to give us that if demand requires it. I expect it all depends whether Wealdstone want to give two sides of their own ground to away fans, as you say they might be reluctant to do that despite the financial advantages.

The seating behind the goal is only four years old and is not bad at all compared to a lot of what we will get this season. The terrace looks a bit cosy but at least it has a roof.

Just after posting it did occur to me that they got 1,406 on Saturday.

The club of course has done very well just to keep going when similar clubs - like Enfield - just disappeared.

Their playing success has exceeded what their infrastructure is able to support at the moment. They arent going to want many more than 2000 there on Band Holiday Monday - segregation, stewards etc .

Just as an aside Wealdstone FC started the development of what became Barnet’s ground but it ran aground when their development partners went bust. There was always a promise that when what is now the Hive got finished Wealdstone would play there. They got shafted and never got recompense for what they put into it. So now Wealdstone play in Ruislip at the old Ruislip Manor ground and Barnet play in Edgware.

I think Wealdstone should be congratulated for still being in existence. They were forced to sell their ground in Wealdstone to Tesco, just to survive, thanks in the main to financial mismanagement by their Chairman of the time. That was back in 1990.
Many of you will know they led a nomadic life before arriving in Ruislip. They were in the sixties one of the strongest Amateur sides in the country, winning the FA Amateur Cup in 1966 by beating Hendon at Wembley.

Are you able to specify seating or standing at Wealdstone or is it first come first serve? I.e get there first if you want a seat?
All our tickets are general sale, but I emailed Wealdstone yesterday and their Club Secretary replied to say we do have 369 seats as part of our allocation.

I was at that cup-tie and have to say the ground didn’t seem impossibly crowded—particularly not the away end ,which was ,of course, virtually empty.

I can see the tickets sales will disappear soon, to be honest, if Wealdstone want to make an extra 12k, they should have handed at least 1k more tickets to us.

That was replying to entry 660 about Wealdstone’s record home crowd v the sheep.

Given they've had 18 months of no fans they'd be idiots to not give us more allocation. They're just throwing money away.
