Not 100% true, yes we have known about this game for about 12 months but the where abouts of the game and KO has only been known for a few months

Am sure this has been done before!

Months, not days.

Presumably we agreed to it ?

I imagine we did. My issue isn't that we agreed to it, but rather the timing. Much like the Accrington debacle this should have been sorted out earlier. This should have been done months ago.

Was only saying, really not bothered by the change I just get on with it

Are you/where you planing on going to this game?

Wouldnt be suprised if they did this on purpose. We are far from their favourite team are what happened after last seasons game what with a couple of their fans getting some trouble. I've got a mate who supports them and he said many of their fans hold a grudge against us.

I expect you would be bothered if you'd purchased a train ticket for a train arriving between 12 and 3.

I haven't, but I'm sure there are those that have in the belief that this was a 3pm kick-off.

Ive heard the same .......so watch out for the stockport terror squad !

Im not going couldnt think of anyone worse then getting up at stupid o clock ........Been to stockport before and its a **** hole ........Nice landlady though who works in there local on the high street. If i remember rightly trueblue was doing the cleaning in the boozer before the train home !

Have also heard that Stockport Fans are angry about 2 there fans getting stabbed in southend last year and want revenge, bloody idiots if you ask me. The people involved in the row with there fans were not even southend fans apparenetly, hopefully everyone has a safe trip saturday, just keep a eye out and becareful if your going in small groups before after the game

From a personal point of view im glad game has been brought forward i will listen too England game on way home and be back early evening, but its farcical and unfair on rail travelers too do this at such short notice. From what i heard the stabbing incident was not football related and happened hours after game so i hope no idiots from Stockport try any thing stupid.

Piece in last nights Echo about 3 fans going by train that will only get to Stockport at 1.15pm. To book an earlier train will cost them £120.

The article also states that Southend contacted a number of fans before agreeing to the change.

but i thought there was a law that football coaches had to get out of town as soon as possible after the game and not stop for something like 15 miles!

What if it's a coach of England fans going to watch the England game in a Stockport pub, and who just happen to be going to a local league game beforehand?

The whole thing is a joke IMO, you can't show live football at 3 o'clock on a Saturday unless you're Sky and its an England game! :finger:

At least the Echo managed to contact the 3 fans that are going... the club obviously contacted the wrong 3 people!

Looks like County fans are staging a march on Saturday lunchtime. I wonder if this influenced the police decision?...

They are marching from St Peters Square in the town centre, to the ground at Midday.
