Kevin Maher

Ok, it's not a shame, but Maher should just retire though... it's all about Bailey and Macca in the middle now!

I contest that entirely, they are both still learning off the master.
You speak of Maher retiring, yet he is a long way off that.

Macca is the man out wide surely.Goals, assists, endeavour and the team ticks great when he flanks Kev and Bailey.

Honestly,do you actually watch these games or does the mouth engage before brain??

With respect your highness that is..

Hmmm... yes, yes i do. Probably more than you as well, Maher is the weak link in the team, along with Hunt. Simple really.

Yet no mention of Macca out wide?

You know the truth, you just can't handle the truth:D

Not a career ending injury... just something that will keep him out of the starting eleven for a while. Because he won't be dropped again...

But if he's kept out of the starting XI for today, we'd be struggling because McCormack is suspended.

J is right though.... on just about any guage that you'd wish to use to judge them, Bailey & McCormack are better players than Maher is or ever has been.

Can't agree with the "ever has been" bit I'm afraid, that's rather harsh. For me the three of them simply can't play together in midfield, Macca can't stay wide and Bailey looks quashed with Maher there. I've said on 606 that the only way these can play together is part of a 5 man midfield as they all have similar attributes. Bailey has definitely been the pick of them and Maher's distribution has been shocking at times but I thought he had a good game Boxing Day. With the number of cards they pick up between them, they all have a part to play anyway and there's always Moussa to complicate things further as well!
