Good luck to the bloke and a warm welcome back to him, but I can also remember a time when he suffered terribly from the wrath of some of our so called supporters!

The same as Prosser when he started, Kev was woeful in his first season. I found an old report online I did for a game in his first season away at Darlington. We lost to a last minute goal and Maher was booed off. I think he is more of a hero and respected here for turning the jeers into cheers and becoming a club legend from that awful beginning.

This is the old report if your interested, at least one from every game that season

Fantastic news! Kev coming back in any role is a good sign for me. And, as somebody else said, now give him his testimonial.

YB - Never missing an opportunity to stick the knife into dear old Keith!

When Brown walks out he would be the obvious choice

I assume you are being sarcastic? but I will bite
Apart from having zero management experience at any level
Apart from not having the relevant qualifications required to manage,
Apart from having a coaching CV that says 'working two evenings a week with youngsters fro a few weeks ' :winking:

If you take away the above then I see your point - the obvious choice

I wonder if Phil Brown is now a worried man?

Martin has previous for promoting from coaching the academy to managing the first team former long-serving midfielders who had been harshly denied their testimonial...
