Kevin Maher back involved and RM comes out saying work to start on stadium in spring! Maybe we will get our new stadium soon and KM will get his testimonial.

I'm not going Saturday but my old Maher shirt is being worn tomorrow whilst listening to it. What a man.

I think this may be more to do with getting a positive mental attitude growing in the club, KM was never backwards in coming forwards on that front. Good news if it works out and a big why if it doesnt, either way, its worth the punt.

Good luck to the bloke and a warm welcome back to him, but I can also remember a time when he suffered terribly from the wrath of some of our so called supporters!

Club legend and a very very loyal player for us.Won the fans over after a difficult start and went on to be a very successful player and captain. Brilliant to have him back with us in a coaching capacity.Hope he gets the testimonial he so deserves

I could never understand why, same goes for a few others like Anton Otulakowski.

Great to welcome Kev the meister back, huge experience to bring to the academy. Top man to come back despite being treated like poop at the end of his time with us, Wish him every success with his coaching badge.

And I remember when we had the Save our Southend appeal going and that big collection against Gillingham, when he came into the Shrimpers after the game and made a donation to the appeal. Can do no wrong in my eyes. Welcome back King Kev.
