Coventry outcast Kevin Kyle could resurrect his carreer at Southend

Dont know anything about this fella, anyone know anything or if there is anything to this rumour? the sun quotes him as being on £7000 a week, surely he'd have to take a dramatic cut to come to us!!

I think he used to be at Sunderland as well if memory serves me correct. The only way be would pay £7k if it was a major name, and somebody likely to boost gates. I don't think he falls into that category.

Yeah I saw this too. Said that he had scored 5 goals in two years. I dont know much about him either, I assume he is a striker, I know how we like to go in for the strikers that have scored less goals than hairs on Duncan Goodhews head but think this maybe gossip and nothing more.

seriously, yea, i'd take him, but only on sensible league one wages...I think he would and could do a job for us(not eating pies, drinking beer, cleaning the stands or shagging other teammates wives, etc)
My real concern would be, would we provide him with quality of crosses for him to attack?
big test for Scannall, Gower and/or Revell

I'm not sure why we would want to bring in an expensive striker who doesn't score goals when we have just transfer listed 3 cheap players who can fulfill that role.
