And Apparently Tara has taken a dislike to Anthony in both a playing and personal capacity.

Personally I don't give a flying **** what Tara Brady thinks of Grant. Sturrock picks the team and Grant is an important player. TB should keep his focus firmly on finances and Fossetts Farm and let Luggy deal with team matters, it's what the manager is paid for.

This seems a little unfair on Chris to be honest

It's very easy to criticise when you cherry pick quotes and take them out of context.

He's a talent, so worth perservering with, but for how long is the question.

Jeez, I'd have got rid of Chris years ago

I saw Chris in Bar Minty at the weekend, he told me that as part of the new Easyjet Southend Airport thing Barcelona are sending us Bojan for a season and Ajax will send us Christian Erikksen.

He then also told me that Jemal Johnson is going to Liverpool for £33.2 million.

Saw Chris last night, he was in a Rangers shirt, with a shaven head duct taped to a seat on the 293 Southend to Celtic bus, he's going to regret that last Jager Bomb in the Sutton Arms in the morning!

So on balance
Good story from Chris, had to be reported and frankly its good to see the interaction with Chris on here
Mohsni a naughty boy- however he will go nowhere and will improve his behaviour (here I trust Messrs Sturrock and Coughlan)
Mr Grant- still a long way to go if he wants to be the lower leagues Joey Barton. Handbag confiscated.
Mr. N'Diaye- may actually be good news story if it gives an excuse to send him back

So we can now start focusing on the Crawley game

Did anyone notice Mr evans statement that Southend had a few players that are worth a lot of money!! Wonder who he had in mind........

sufcfed - Shocked his team-mates was what I was told, that wasn't my line, it was a quote.
What am I supposed to do, leave it out?
What happened after the game was very serious and had to be reported. It is also likely to be reported elsewhere too.
I'll also think you'll find that behind this story in the paper today there are three pages all about how well we're doing at the moment.
There were three pages on Friday and three pages tomorrow too.
That's nine in three days (see I'm good at maths!) and they were all positive stories.
I have also often reported that we have a good team and that we're capable of promotion but I work for a newspaper not a club newsletter and you report the good with the bad.

I appreciate your reporter role and duties but sincerely hope that the source gets identified and receives a P45 fairly promptly.

There are certain issues that need to be kept in-house and dealt with by the powers to be without outside intervention.

If the source hadn't blurted the story absolutely no one would be any the wiser and I guess third parties would have picked up on your story too so the source and your report would be the reason for any reports elsewhere.

As a supporter on a high with the start that we have had I feel so disappointed that this information has been made public domain as it can only have a negative effect.

Respectfully, that is egregious, overblown nonsense. If journalists didn't have confidential sources (in the police, parliament, football clubs etc) then we'd have no press in this country. It was a news-worthy story. I'm not sure it's quite as juicy or shocking as Chris made out - but then I haven't seen the story in all its glory, so can't comment on that. But Chris is entitled to do a wee bit of plugging on his Twitter feed - isn't that what it's for?

Anyhow, I'm still looking forward to hearing Chris's explanation of his love for AFC Wimbledon while in utero...

Why ?

What if the issues with discipline continue and Sturrock feels Moshni has to play in the reserves for a month. Supporters would not know the issues and would not understand why.

The club could also be criticised for sending back Ndaiye if we werent to know the real reasons.

Negative stories arent nice but without them we wouldnt have a rounded picture of what is going on with the club.

Im happy to know of these probl

Me being in Sainsbury's last Thursday is about as accurate as me being a Wimbledon fan before I born!

Uh-oh, wasn't giving this story much credence (we all know Chris Phillips is more of a Waitrose man) but now he's all but confirmed it.... bye bye Granty:'(

May I recommend Yes, Minister.

That would be so believable only one thing wrong there, Bojan doesn't play for Barcelona :whistling:

Dear Chris

Hopefully tonight you can write about how we smashed Crawley 7-0 which caused Steve Evans to spontaneously combust.

That would be a juicy story.

"Sturrock met with bilel this morning. For me this is the biggest decision he has had to make since taking over."

Hmmm

CP just tweeted PS met BM this morning and that he thinks it is biggest decision since taking over. Tend to agree. We have some idea but not full severity. It would be big call to axe BM even for a while and even with the Ramadan excuse.
