Jools Holland

whats all this crap about Jools being annoying etc!

He's a top bloke, a top musician, and a top presenter.

His later show is superb...

Met Jools at Romford dogs one night. He's in a syndicate that owns greyhounds called the Charlton anti social club. He came across really well, and had more than enough time to talk, top man.

First five or so songs are such a good start to an album. I think the instrumental song will grow on me in time too and I probably just haven't given most of the later songs enough time. Beginning and ending on the same song is class though.

Writing that I felt eerily like Gavin Peacock in thelondonpaper (i.e. what I liked/what I didn't like/what I'm looking forward to)!

Probably pleased to speak with you after you tipped him a few dogs, and he made a killing laying them.

Did anyone catch the live version of 'Later' last night?

I only saw the last couple of acts, but really enjoyed it. Black Kids were really good and the Jools Holland/Adele duet was sublime. That girl really can sing. I'm guessing it wasn't one of hers though, can anyone enlighten me?

James,

Was it Chasing Pavements??
Or it was probably one of the songs from her new album "19"

It was "Make You Feel My Love". Just watching it again on the BBC iplayer. Wonderful.

There is a Dylon song called Make You Feel My Love

I saw her do an acoustic set really late one night about 5 months ago on TV when i got back from the pub....she played about 6 or 7 songs in this dingy little club.

I was so blown away by her voice that i sent her a message on her "Myspace" sight just saying how fantastic the set was and how much i enjoyed her voice.
