Johnstone Paint Trophy

Obviously more supple than us then. It's an abomination of a stand.

I'm with Pubey, to be honest. I'm 6ft 5 and find the East fine. Whereas I've had to stand at the back of the West for entire matches because of the lack of room in some of the seats in that stand.

Brilliant idea and would at least give something back to people still waiting for our season ticket refund (HINT RON DON'T KNOW OF ANYONE WHO HAD IT YET!!!!) but can't see it happening sadly!!

Do you really think that it's a good idea for a Club with chronic cashflow problems to be giving freebies away?

A deliberate choice of getting in early....its not what you know ;). I did think that East was ok if you were down the front on the plastic chairs. Them wooden things are horrible so surprised you had a problem.

Ooh thats a good week, my oncall finishes the day before.
Thing was he specifically told them at the ticket office he wanted plenty of leg room because of his height and his knee and they put him in the middle of a row. I did ask him why he didn't ask to see the stand plan to check where the seat was but he was too trusting. Honestly don't know how Beefy managed at that height, even I struggled!

Blimey. Yep some of the west seats are very tight. We sat very near the front once in the first few rows which are ridiculous. No one could comfortably sit there. Incidentally, Old Trafford is the worst ground I've been to for leg room.

This is so strange, our seats are in rows D and E (2 behind each other) and there is absolutely STACKS of leg room. There is less as you go higher as the old steps are steeper but where we are it's absolutely fine. They also seem wider, I don't know if that's true but we all seemed to be clashing shoulders in the East!

has anyone had the seats right at the back in the east? slammed up against the boxes, im 6 1 and had to stand, just absurd, while im having a whinge i distinctly remember two seats in the west right in front of a post, and you couldnt fit a child in there, and they still sell them!
great idea about the free tickets for seaso's and im not even a seaso! at the very least this competition should be £5-10 across the board until the later rounds, surely it just makes sense to get more people in for many reasons!

but aren't there rows A-C which generally aren't sold (except for capacity games) and are made for dwarfs?

I think that's him actually walking up the steps of the East.

Row C in the West has to have the least legroom of anywhere in the ground. I know that they don't go on general sale but they should really be sold with a health warning.

Oi!!! I really don't think my DAD (cos that's who I was talking about!) would appreciate being termed "my new piece of ***"!!!! :nope:

Again, strange, I bought tickets in row C for the West Ham game, 4 there and 4 in row D behind (usual seats) and it was fine. I believe these were also the seats I got for Glasgow SUFC when he was down last Christmas and he and his parents were fine with them.

The JPT midweeker at Roots Hall means Gills have 3 away games on the trot in 7 days, Morecambe, Southend and Bury that might reduce the normal large away following

Any news on admission prices?

I've always regarded luton's away end as the absolute worst in terms of legroom. I sat there with Exiled Phil (well over 6ft) about eight years ago and he was in agony most of the game.

Yeah Luton's away end is just shocking in terms of legroom. I once sat in the corner of the away end at Villa Park and that was terrible for legroom too. Those two plus Row C of the West are the only three I've had where just sitting down is an achievement.

Most people at the back of the east stand stand up anyway, so its not really an issue!

I have sat in the second row of the west stand before, and can confirm it is the most measly leg room i have encountered. I Sit one row from the back in the east blacks, and leg room is ample (and im 6ft), altho do stand up most the time anyway.

Yep that used to be the case for rows B and C. A couple of seasons ago they moved one of the rows back slightly so now I think most people are ok with them. Used to be quite comical trying to see someone over 5' trying to squeeze into those rows.

I would imagine they will do what they did with the Brizzle game....fill the East and then open South if necessary.
