According to Reading supporting mate he was sometimes brilliant but prone to somewhat eccentric behaviour. The good news for away day shrimpers is that this included turning up in the away end at a Reading away game with a Russian bloke (who's name I forget) who also played for them and they bought all the Reading fans around them a drink.

Honest question - have you seen either of them play for us ?

If you have , fine you're entitled to your opinion.

If you haven't , you would have clearly missed that both have held up play and linked others from midfield , which has made us much more of a threat.
It isn't simply playing two up and the number of goals someone scores

Seen Cox play three times this season,he never impressed me at all and appears a tad top heavy IMO ,Fortune not seen play.

Both have never been prolific by any stretch in fact their scoring records are average, but happy to be proved wrong.

As I understand the £8000 plus outlay per week is pretty mental.

Cox looked good against Chesterfield, a run in the team with Ranger alongside him and he will start scoring I'm pretty sure of that.

£8k a week on those two alone? Is this from the same person who managed to persuade you that Jason Williams will score 30 goals a season in League 1?

For what it's worth Shrimper Zone is all about opinions and mrsblue is entitled to have an opinion on players and situations at the club. Just remember, it's not obligatory to reply, in fact, sometimes, it's better not to. Wage guesses by mrsblue are exactly that, guesses by the way. Wage guesses by mrsblue are so inaccurate they can cause mental stress to other posters, best left unread eh?

They persuaded me Jason would score 25,never 30 though !

Some say Cox ex international is on £1800 whilst Fortune is on £1000.....I know who I believe.

Very true RHB except your last last 10 words.

Your understanding is wildly incorrect.

Very happy to correct mrsblue.

Cox scored 35 goals for Swindon in the 2008-2009 season. 29 in the League. You can't get much more prolific than that.

...MrsB, how are we supposed to realise that your understanding of wages is 100% bullet-proof when you don't append a "fact" of "end of" to your statement? This is the agreed convention on this board to distinguish facts from wild speculation.

And we were told a league two player retired on 3k a month for life on insurance as well.

This over exaggeration of money is a common theme here. Just because players are "ex internationals" or ex-Premiership/Championship doesnt mean they can demand Championship level salaries now.

We were told by numerous people Eastwood was on 5k, he was on under 2k. People need to stop listening to made up figures.

Actually I spoke to him only last week whilst in Spain,he recieved a lump sum which he wouldn't reveal and his 3k per month includes the rental of his home back here,so I had the figures a tad wrong ,never realised the rent was included.

1800 plus 1000 = 2800 so please tell me who is getting the other 5200 to make up the 8000 a week they are getting between them.Im sure my maths is correct and you did state 8000 a week.
