Transfer News, Gossip & Speculation James Golding joins on loan

Transfer news
Indeed.

Me pointing out that Golding would be a really bad signing wasn't meant to be dog whistle for keyboard warriors with an inferiority complex.

Turns out I not the only one who knows. So I guess it will all come out soon.
My knee jerk reaction is - did the club ‘know’ this (whatever it is) before agreeing the loan?

If they did then I assume’ they have had the opportunity to ask questions, get all sides to the story and make an informed decision

Presumably DD takes place even with loan signings? A large portion of salt seems to be in order.

Did he room share with a recent central defender of ours. 🤔🤔🤔

Southend United are delighted to confirm James Golding’s loan has been extended until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old joined the club on a short-term loan at the beginning of December which expired today. The centre back has made a total of six appearances for the Shrimpers and is now due to remain at Roots Hall until May.

The defender made his debut off the bench in the Isuzu FA Trophy win against Brentwood Town before featuring in the league for the first time in the 4-0 win over Ebbsfleet United on Boxing Day.

Golding has played a part in helping the team keep clean sheets in four of the last five games he has started in, and we look forward to further developing him throughout his loan spell at the club.

Thanks Cricko, excellent development i think for us. The lad has done well and i'm excited to see more of him gracing the turf at Roots Hall. Everyone i speak to about James agree that he's a talent alright. Whatever off field problems he's had, he's really showing promise on it.
