Oh Dear. We really need a more experienced target man. Sampson has been in the central defenders pockets for too many games. He hasn't scored, and doesn't look like scoring. I think he's only had One or Two shots on target since he's been here. He was useless today. He's had plenty of match minutes. Just a younger but not as good Blair Sturrock.
We played so much better and faster when he went off today, when the team was forced to abandon the direct style and pass it on the ground. This resulted in Benyon finally being teed up for his First goal.

A bad piece of business by Paul Sturrock in my view, could have got so much better. We need goals, so One that could score would be nice.

After all, this is a crucial part of the season, we can't afford to carry the main striker, One that looks like he could go countless games without a goal.

Why ?
Only reason I can think of is so Sturrock can still play hoofball, of which he couldnt have done with Harris and Benyon. He looked totally lost today, and against Creepy on Monday too.

Pointless extension offers nothing to the team gets bullied off the ball every time cant hold the ball up and cant find the net.

I think he's got potential, just looks a little bit low on confidence, needs a goal !!

What did I say people would be saying after the neat cameo he had at Northampton? Moan moan moan! LOL.

I think we should back him because I like him. Decent young player! And his heart is in the right place!

As much as I agree with this potential the young lad has, we are in need someone that can score goals and has a turn of pace but of which he is yet to prove. I dont want to criticise as it's not in my nature but just dont see the sense in the month extension

It's because we need a massive bloke upfront! Which he is! Proves how much we miss big Dicko!

Benyon is the boy to bang some in!

Also lucky we have goals from all over!

Oh no ! We need Sampson for another month just like we need a hole in the head. Because ps rates him over Benyon and Benyon is clearly the better player.
Sampson seems a nice lad, but ive got more chance of scoring with the misses than he has for the blues ! An that aint been for several months !

Sampson is one for the future and if theres a chance to bring him in permanently then bring him back in the summer. For now his wages could have helped free up cash to hopefully bring in a more experienced forward. With Sampson retained have we the budget to stetch to a new loan forward which'll be potentially the 9th forward on our books.

Thing is PS doesn't seem to jettison players he won't use, just ignore them

hence we have about 52 players on our books

That's what I mean. He needs to find breathing space by off loading several he ignores. but to be fair I think certain names have been circulated around but there were no takers. Luggy is in a vicious circle on this one.

The cheap option I imagine. Bolton probably playing for him. He has looked good in parts. I just find it shocking that we have Crawford, Corr, Asante, Flood, Blair and Pato not even getting anywhere near the team for one reason or another. 6 strikers, add Dicko to that list now thats 7 not playing.
