What all goalies should be doing when the ball's up the other end.

anybody wanna learn a dance?

Learn it :P

maybe darryl would have scored the penalty too, I not sure that changing the keeper is really our concern at the mo if the ginga ninja had put the pen away it would have been a very different game etc etc not really much between em in my opinion, hopefully the front pairing will be sorted with the return of clarke and morgan alongside and relieve some of the pressure on the back five

Collis is no more than competent. Flavs is much more likely to pull off the match winning save or saves. Flavs kicking and positional sense is so much better and Collis despite his height advantage doesn't command his box any better than Flavs.

Crap, Paul Robinson warmed the Leeds bench for yonks, and was a way better keeper than Nigel Martyn for example.

Paul Robinson has never been a better goalkeeper than Nigel Martyn. You're right that it was a poor arguement though.

As for our goalkeeping situation, Collis hasn't done much wrong but he also hasn't done much to suggest to me that he's any better on crosses than Darryl Flahavan so I'd have Flavs back in ASAP.

Darryl made these mistakes for years and nobody wanted him out of the team... Collis lets in a few goals and the ones with the Darryl tinted glasses want him dropped again...

Very well put. I totally agree.

He (Harrold) says he is not ginger, but auburn. Well, as that penalty truely took the biscuit, perhaps you could refrain from calling him the ginga ninja, and refer to him in future as the auburn bourbon.

Yawn, yawn and...yawn. Collis has done nothing to warrant losing his place. Until he does, or get injured, he will be in goal, that seems to be Tilly's Law. Get over it.

totally agree. collis has done nothing to warrant being dropped. agree with the yawns on this subject as well.

I agree he doesnt deserve to be dropped just yet.

The one point Id make is that he is conceding the very goals that many people on here slated Flahavan for, ie balls into the 6 yard box.

Collis isnt any more commanding than Flahavan and I still think Flahavan was made a scapegoat and its interesting to see Collis slowing being made one.

Both are decent keepers and Im happy for either to be in the side and dont think you should change a keeper just because you have lost a couple of games.

I think Clarke was at fault (again!!) for the goal!

Kev

I think Clarke did his best to recover the situation but it was Lewis who let the man he was marking get 5 yards away from him and receive the ball unchallenged. I saw him do his customary "point at the man I'm supposed to be marking" gesture to Clarke after the ball went past him.

it may not be 'Darryl time' but it is 'Darryl day' as he is 29 today - according to SUFC Database - anyone sent him a card? :D

collis has had a good run in goal let darryl have a go now.
collis and darryl are good at different things as collis can get the high crosses and the high shots but darryl's positioning is great.
its all down 2 tilson now!

Happy Birthday Flavs!!!

Flavs was closing in as Southend's top appearance holder for a Blues keeper and is top class.

However I have to come down in favour of Stevie at the moment, he's done nothing wrong. Remember he came in when Flavs was injured, has taken his chance and doesn't deserve to be dropped back to the bench.

Flavs will have to do the same if and when his chance comes around.
