Is straightening your hair too gay for a straight man?

Is taking straighteners on a football club tour acceptable?!

Like the original poster I have fairly unruly hair, which has not been cut for a few months, therefore find that a bit of straightening does the trick....

If my experience of football tours is anything to go by, you'll be lucky to come back with them in one piece should the other lads get wind of it...

People of the Zone, solve this debate...

When my hair gets slightly too long it gets unmanageable, I've got ridiculously thick hair that no matter how short it gets cut, it fully regrows into "unkept mop" in a matter of weeks, So I took to straightening it before I styled it.

This morning, I've been ripped for this whereas I deem it fine and not too feminite, providing im not doing it every day, which I don't, and I'm not sporting long flowing locks, which i'm not...

So I put it to the Zone, Am I really a raving homosexual with really straight hair, or just a regular 20-something Male these days? Disregard the fact I live near Brighton completely...

I have fast growing hair and have it trimmed every 2 or 3 weeks, so here's a novel idea... get it cut.

Don't have a problem with it generally, depends how poncey a bloke is about the whole process really - I mean, there's no way a bloke should take longer on his hair than the missus does on hers! So, if he's just straightening the ends and shoving a bit of gel on then great, if it's a whole root to tip straightening taking an hour or so then not so great.

I take much longer than the missus does to sort my flowin locks out, but then she is a skinhead......

:tumbleweed:

Nothing wrong with spend time on yourself before you go out!

I have conuslted Mrs DtS on this one and she says loads of blokes use hair straightners and there is nothing wrong with it. Personally I think your an iron but I would never say that.........

if your hair is long enough to straighten then you obviously take it up the tailpipe, regardless of whether you use straighteners.

Up in Leeds all the lads think my hair is so short they think I am in the army. However when I go home the SZFC lads usually say I look like a tramp because I haven't had my haircut in so long.

Shows how backward the north is really.

The only ever time I straightened my hair that same night I was bottled. Coincedence perhaps but never again!

i am a firm believer that men should keep hair short enough so it doesn't need straightening.. a proper hair cut that you could set your watch too.
