Not worth £300k, Furthest I'd go is £150k - £175k

If we have £300k to spend then I wouldn't blow it on Theo, he gave us pace, something we lack at the top end but the defence is the priority.

With a solid defence you dont need someone to bang in 25+

His worth whatever a club is willing to pay............. he is age 19(so a good chance of a return on the fee(unlike paynter, revell and co) and wants to play for the club, he also scores goals if he scores 20+ next season(and a good chance as seems to stay fit)he be worth 1 milllion+...........

hooper was worth 175000 this time last year how much would clubs pay now?

another mulgrew situation i think.........

Why does Robinson want to move to be nearer his family in Scotland?

oh sorry ...........if thats what ron said it must be true.............anyone else having a summer vacation up rons rear end?

time to stop defending the man,
he needs to put his money where his mouth and massive ego is.........
sign some permanent signings and back the manager.

Sorry I haven't defended RM in my post at all.

Charlie Mulgrew himself stated he wanted to move back to Scotland, hence his move to Aberdeen, which if you have failed to observe is in Scotland not Wiltshire or Essex.

If as has been mooted and we are skint, are you suggesting that we spend money we don't have? And possibly ending up going into administration in the manner of numerous other clubs.

I get more and more annoyed with some peoples' inability to understand football economics, even remotely.

When you sign a player there can be lots of elements to the deal:
- Transfer Fee
- Signing-on Fee
- Wages
- Bonuses
- Bungs (if you're one of these dodgy clubs).

Of these we only ever know what any transfer fee involved is; and sometimes we either don't get told this, or we get told something that isn't actually true, or we get told one thing by the selling club and something different by the buying club.

Even if we learn that a particular player is on £n/week, we dont know if that means £n x 52 weeks, or £n x however long the season is.

But still people are happy to make wild, and usually derogatory statements about RM, T&B, and/or the individual players whenever someone does or doesn't join or leave us.

Ok, so it looks like Theo is going to join Swindon. Is this because they offered Watford more than us, or because they offered Theo more than us, or because they promised him bonuses that we couldn't or wouldn't match; or is he going to join them for footballing reasons (they're building a decent looking squad and have a well-regarded manager), or maybe Swindon is an hour closer to his friends and family.

You know what? I don't know why; and you're not likely to either!
