Is eating Crumpets a "Bit gay"

Just put away three crumpets and got to say they are lovely....

Only just rediscovered them after years. Ben says they are gay?

I think a hetrosexual man in the 21st century should be able to eat these foods without fear of his sexuality being brought into question.
