Looks like Irate Ian has been banned for life. Very strange decision considering his only two posts this month have been in the Frank Gill thread!

Seems a crazy decision, and one which won't help the feeling that the board is being over policed at the mo.

I would like to thank the Irate one for agreeing yesterday to sponsor ShrimperZone FC's 1sts new away shirt. Yeeelllllllllllllllllllloowwwwwssss!!!!

I believe he was banned on friday for saying what road Cricko lived. It transpires that this was not the case and was rescinded yesterday, only to be banned again today.

Irate Ian and myself have clashed here on many occasions and he said that he had me on his ignore list (though he always replied to whatever I actually posted regarding himself) but I have to say that if he has been banned for life (or even indefinately) I am really sorry to hear this.

I don't know what the reasons are for his ban (perhaps a mod can confirm or deny?) but the board will be much the worse for his absence I feel. Okay, he bangs on regularly about the same sh*t a lot of the time but I have come to the conclusion that his heart is in the right place (something I never thought I'd say about a debt collector) regarding the club and he is without a doubt a true Southend United supporter of many years standing. When he actually moved away from his obsession with Ron Martin and the new ground, he actually spoke a lot of sense about football and although as I say, I do not know the reasons for him being banned, I feel he deserves better than this.

Lots of things are let go here by the mods (racism, personal insults etc) yet it is Ian has been kicked off. I feel we should be told the reason that this decision has been taken and why seemingly such a harsh penalty enforced.
