I had an email from them offering me a good deal as a Southend supporter. Anyway about to renew the car Insurance so I thought as they support the club I'll get a quote (online). All four quotes were quite a bit more expensive and the excess was higher than I have been quoted by my own company Churchill online. I haven't found anyone who can beat Churchill, having tried Direct Line, Tesco, Hastings. Surely if Insure and Go want our business they've got to offer a better deal and not just quote four well known companies who are not the cheapest. Why can't they set up a proper deal for Southend fans? I am sure they could get a lot business.

Ring them up, tell them you've been quoted cheaper, and that you're a Southend fan. Got to be worth a try..

Get your insurance via a cashback site such as www.quidco.com

I got some car insurance last year and got £100 cash back from Prudential and the car insurance was only £15 more expensive than the cheapest quote via Confused - so in effect I made back £85 :)

Got mine from ecar - cost literally half of what direct line were quoting me, and for better cover. It's a little company but tends to be better value than the big names.

Anyone tried Insure and Go for travel insurance? Mine comes up for renewal in the summer and I wondering about giving them a go.

I have used them for travel insurance they are pretty good. You can choose different standards of cover i.e. bronze silver or gold. The prices are very reasonable. you get sent a credit card type thing which has the number on the back and your policy number on the front. Its very handy and is the only thing you need to take with you!

Yep I did last year for stag weekend in Barcelona.
As Sam says they seem really good for travel insurance!

How funny I am actually going on a hen weekend tomorrow to Barcelona! Thats what I am about to get my travel insurance for - how much was it? Im only going for three days, the one I used last year was for 2 weeks so Im hoping it might be a bit cheaper?

I used a comibination of these compare car insurance sites so it saves entering your details all the time. Yes Insurance & Go Compare And ended up with SwiftCover being the best (nearly half the price of everyone else)

i tried insure and go for my car insurance in the summer and was told if you quote that you are a sth you get a discount. even with discount it was nearly double of the other quotes i has recieved. couldn't believe it was so much really, so i think there pretty cack really

i think when it comes to travel insurance Insure and Go are definatly one of, if no the best value.

However, i wouldnt judge them on there car insurance just cos one person got a crappy quote.

Car insurance is so f**king random, it annoys the hell out of me. I hate i when i go to renew my policy, as i have x amount of people saying try elephant/admiral/direct line etc, cos thats who there with... A company that is cheap for your matey, may not be cheap for you... hence comparison websites for your induvidual details such as confused.com are so useful, as it saves you phoning round 19 companies induvidually.

When i renewed my insurance for example, Insure and Go was the second best price i got, but went with the 3rd best (The AA) as when i rang they gave me extra discount cos i got home insurance with them, plus there customer service is ace.... but no i might have gone with I&G as i would have got an SUFC discount... but then again... who's to say i would have got the same quote today as 2 months ago!

Its all so rando is car insurance... how do 19 companies, with exactly the same details give me quotes ranging from £300 - £1100!!

Go through me and I'll give you a proper deal on it. We sell bucketloads of cover every day and are pretty damn good on the travel side. I've been in the insurance game for 25 years, too, so I tend to know what companies are shysters and what aren't

The motor cover? Well, we're basically a travel insurer that offers motor insurance on the side at present. But quote CSM010 and you'd get a 10% discount on your car.

Worked there for a couple of months before xmas, was ok, but very boring, they sell tons and tons of travel insurance everyday.

Very good for it, my yearly policy is only 33 quid, which is not to bad, and i get a discount on that when i renew.

A mate of mine, does motor insurance and says it is a rip off, as mainly there re sell for other companys, aka, axa etc, its not underwritten by AIG like there travel insurance is (not sure how correct that is, someone who works there maybe able to inform me)

Im surprised tho, as you would expect a good discount for being a blues supporter, even more for being a seaso i guess.

No wonder their insurance is so cheap - Their call centre is chav central, their office is in the same building I work in so see a lot of their call centre staff coming and going in their natty Insure and Go uniforms.
