im stupid and desperate!!

found firefox but cant find an option to put it on safe mode. is it a bad idea to delete it? thanks for your help mate!!

ok, right, you have a horrible bit of spyware/malware on your computer, not dangerous just annoying really. you need to download avg or another spyware remover to remove it, but the spyware is such that you need to download avg by browsing for it...but you can't because of the spyware.

there is a solution for this though.
first, does this link work - http://www.download.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10320142.html?tag=mncol
if it does, use it to download avg and then run a full system scan, both anti virus and anti spyware and it should get rid of it.

if you cannot click this link you will have to try a different program to try to remove the malware/spyware. try searching in google for anti-malware or another anti malware program.

clicked on that link and my internet shut down and threw me out of SZ mate. i really do appreciate your help though, any other ideas?

the only thing i can think of that will get round this, if it is what i think it is, is to download the file some other way. do you have msn? if you have, send me a private message with your email address, i can send you the .exe file to install avg without you having to use your browser and help talk you through it.

copied and pasted the 1st a v g link u posted on here to my hotmail and sent it to myself and when i received the email and clicked on the link it kicked me out!?!

If that boots you out, can you not get a mate to download AVG, stick it onto a memory stick/CD and then run the .exe from there.
