This exercise wasn't so much about the final figure but how it is allocated.

You can times each figure by four and use percentages instead if you prefer.
 
Not sure how reliable it is but just seen Chris Phillips retweet a graph on wages throughout League 1 for the 15/16 season. Looks like our wage bill was £4,046,000 according to this. Out of the clubs that announced it, Walsall was the lowest at £3,447,000 (which is seriously impressive considering the season they had) and Wigan was the highest at £11,928,000!!
 
This is interesting, looking at the clubs not disclosing figures the highest we are likely to have been in the wages table is 13th or 14th.
