I can't pick just one, it's too hard!

Man United (obviously!), the Swansea promotion (full house, incredible atmosphere and a cracking game between two really good sides - my mate still has one of Darryl's gloves that he threw into the crowd at the final whistle), Bristol City for the title party the following week, Play Off Final 2005, Peterborough (a) for promotion in 1990, Chelsea (a).....the list goes on!

We've all put up with some unbelievable dross over the years but listing the above really does bring it home to you that putting up with the crap is worth it for moments like that!

West ham at home when we won 1-0 for me. Ground packed, Sir Stan up front with Brett scoring and Roycey in goal(his debut I think) Great Night (and we needed the points to stay up)

Stan's debut and the 3 nil win, great play and 2 goals by Paul Brown; and also Fred's debut. These two games signaled the start of some very pleasurable times as a Shrimper after some very poor times and as a consequence are more than just 90 minutes each for me.

Really? Good result and nice to be champions ..........but the game was dire, wasn't it?
That's my memory too. Like a lot of games in that season, go ahead and then defend deep with almost everyone behind the ball. Not only unattractive but also nerve-wracking - but effective.

I think we've had a couple of games this season like that too.

Your kidding right? I cant remember a season where we took so many teams apart with our brilliance playing the best football I've ever seen us.

Off top of my head...

Col u home 3-1
Bristol City away 3-0
Yeovil home 4-1
Brentford home 4-1
Col U away 3-0

Four games come to mind

Beating Newcastle Utd 4 nil on New Year's Day. Too go top of the Championship.
Rushing home taking a photo of the table from the tele with us on top.

Bury away. The first time we got too the Championship Who put the ball in the Bury net Benji Benji.

Selfish one when Brett Angell put the ball in the West Ham net for our one nil home win.
Rushed back to my local in Dagenham with my Southend Shirt on. Lucky i knew all the spammers but
it was great watching there faces.

Last just has to be a full strength Man Utd side. Sat after the game staring at scoreboard just saying pinch me Did Little old Southend just beat Man Utd

Wasn't it 3-1, one goal from Steve Brown (who was barely seen after that!) and 2 for Stan that day?

For me it's got to be Southend 5 Orient 1 when Richard Cadette scored 4 in his first full game for us after signing from Orient.

If not that one, then the 3-2 win against Hartlepool when their racist fans spent the whole match goading Richard Cadette only for him to score 2, and for us to score two in injury time to win it.

Preston away 2007 won 3-2 scoring 2 goals in the last few minutes. Fantastic game of football against a Preston team going for promotion to the premiership. Their fans applauded the southend team off the field.

Yes that was my higlight of last championship season.
I seem to remeber Alan McCormack sending a screamer into the net very late on in front of the Southend Fans.

Probably for me Northampton away season 2011/2012 - 2-1 down with just under 20 minutes to go and then just an onslaught to win 5-2 and send us back to the summit of League two with a sell out away crowd going absolutely mental! shame about Aldershot boxing day:blush:

A few games I would go back to in a heartbeat!!!

Swansea 2 Southend 2
Not had too many days like this as a fan which make it all the more special. Everything about the day was perfect. Ultimately it saw us achieve promotion. An absolute cracking day, match, celebrations and night after.

Orient 0 Southend 1 JPT 1st leg, felt like a proper old skool away day, our away support was epic that night. Start of a Wembley dream.

Southend 2 Orient 2 The chance to finally watch my team at Wembley = check...Over two legs we beat Orient of all teams and in the last minute :) Chameleon with the players after was off the hook.

Two Bristol Rovers LDV Area Finals - Awesome matches, plus we hit the big time with another trip to the Millennium stadium, cue a great weekend in Newport.

Two amazing legs v Colchester LDV Area Finals - A first major final after nearly 100 years, beating our biggest rivals along the way despite them being in a higher division. Dreeeeeeeewe

Southend 1 Bristol City 0 - Champions and Champions over the scum. The Goats retirement, pitch invasions and sing songs from the players. Amazing day.

Southend 1 Man Utd 0 - No words needed, my most proud moment of being a Blues fan. Success shared and celebrated the world over.

Chelsea 1 Southend 1 - The most I have EVER celebrated a goal, how on earth did we nick a draw against such a strong Chelsea side who are so strong at the Bridge. Mildy's epic save after our equaliser was amazing.

Colchester 0 Southend 3 - Amazing scenes and a great day in that hell hole of a non league ground. Super Kev, the Goat and Che Wilson sent us wild in this result which played a huge part in our title success. "One team in Essex"

But for me, my favourite two games which I would love to do again are:

Southend 2 Lincoln 0 (aet) Our play off final which resulted in Promotion. Just 6500 of us made the trip and when Juppy slid in that second, we had a few minutes to actually enjoy what was about to happen. Wow, Wow, Wow!!!!

Southend 0 Port Vale 0 Weds 15/4/1992 my first match, I remember the buzz of the floodlights, the atmosphere, a few 'Jobson out' chants but mainly I remember this night as being the start of my love affair with Southend United xxx

Everton v Southend United, 04 January 1992.

FA Cup 3rd round.

We somehow lost 1-0 to a Peter Beardsley goal, and I know that if I went again that we would at least get the draw that we deserved.

Preston away 2007 won 3-2 scoring 2 goals in the last few minutes. Fantastic game of football against a Preston team going for promotion to the premiership. Their fans applauded the southend team off the field.

I do remember a game at Preston in Division 2 that we won 3-2. Was it really 6 years ago? The highlight(s) of the game were that all three goals were complete screamers - including one from McCormack (at his old club Preston). Was that the same game? I think Freddy was on the bench with his arm in plaster.

Bit different for me. Having attended the Manc Who game I'd kind of like to re-live it again but from the perspective of my current life here in Oz. So in the Pig n Whistle English pub as almost certainly the only Southend fan surrounded by Manc Who supporters. Nothing could ever beat actually being there of course, but boy that would be fun to celebrate Freddy's goal and the win in those circumstances.

Southend 0 Port Vale 0 Weds 15/4/1992 my first match, I remember the buzz of the floodlights, the atmosphere, a few 'Jobson out' chants but mainly I remember this night as being the start of my love affair with Southend United xxx

Crikey that's a pretty random first match to go to that season as we had played some big clubs. The crowd was only 4,400 and lowest of the season.
