If worst comes to worst - Who can we expect to loose.

Probably 2,000 + season ticket holders.

Nah there will be more than that I believe there are around 5-6000 this year I doubt we will loose over half the season ticket holders coz of dropping down - or would we???

I will definatly be renewing mine come June whether we survive or drop down. At the end of the day every season ticket holder is a Southend supporter so I find it hard to believe these supporters will not renew if we drop down. If they dont renew becuase of this reason then they shouldnt really call themselves fans (and I am not having a dig at people that may not be able to afford it next year this is solely on their decision to renew being made on which league we are in).

I still get my season ticket should we stay up or not. I reckon every players will stay (expect Freddy) as we got a new ground coming up, and they will be playing for a bigger club in 18 month time with impressive training ground, Iam not talking about Birmingham, WBA & Wolves etc, Iam talking about Southend who will be big as them in 18 month!

I reckon we need to get rid of weaker players & bring in keys League 1 players which will make us stronger.

I think Season ticket sales will be surprisingly robust next season.. Relegation or not

I agree....I think our hardcore support has gone up a lot in the past few years.

As long as Uncle Ron is sensible with his prices we will be fine.

I think there is a new geneartion of Loyal kids growing up and supporting there *Local* team now success is here. Many years ago in the doldrums of league 4 ect...Of course many supported Wet Spam etc...It's a new era and i think the new supporters will stay.

I am all for the young fans coming in and the club has worked wonders but what on earth possessed them to get Chesney Hawkes.....I thought Chicko was as bad as it got. :fury:

I'd expect Eastwood & Hammell to go if we drop down. Maybe JCR too.

Flavs is one who could get an offer. He's done well this year, especially in the high profile games. I don't think its out of the question that a decent sized Championship club or even a smaller Premiership club could bring him in as a second-choice.

Everyone knows that when you go down you are basically left at the mercy of every other club to rob, steal and pillage your best players.

So who will we do well to keep Im putting them in 3 catergories.

ALMOST SURE THEY WILL BE GONE
Freddy, JCR, Hammell.

BIT WORRIED THEY WILL BE GONE
Maher, Flavs, Francis, Macca, Gower, Foran

TILLY WILL CHOP EM IN
Che, Prior (Retired) Hopper, Paynter, Lawson,

Will Stay, no worries

Barrett, Hunt, Clarke, Moussa

Your thoughts please.

Additions in bold

Bollox - relegation wasn't look that bad an option until someone suggested AB would stay.

Will Hooper stay though? Having been frustrated by the lack of games at Grays, maybe he'll want more matches somewhere else?
