Unfortunately, I am led to believe it was actually an error by the BBC scores that you can access by your mobile phone. So, the poor person who shouted this out was mislead by the BBC, who rectified the error about 2 minutes later.

Quote[/b] (Smudger @ April 20 2006,11:02)]Worst day of my Blues supporting life. Brighton to Grimsby and back for the footballing equivalent of being told your missus has been shagging your dad for the past ten years and your kids are actually your brothers.
Did same journey myself only I had my leg in a plaster cast and lost one of my hand protectors for my crutches on the way up.

Got offered out by one of their boys with me on cruthces having only been out of hospital after knee surgery for 48 hours. Hard Man !!!

This was the game where the ball never went out of play at all in the last 15 minutes as the Grimsby fans were all around the pitch.

Bit like when we played Brentford when we made this jump before... and we were losing then !!! I seem to recall at the time that 2 or 3 minutes of injury time couldn't be played cos everyone was on the pitch, we potentially stopped our own team from scoring what may have been a title winning goal.
Who is gonna stop our little chav brigade from doing the same as Grimsby did on saturday should we get the result we all crave ??

It's funny but I think back to that day and get a butterflies in the stomach feeling. Pi$$ed as I was at the Grimsby fans on the pitch I will never forget the noise generated when we thought we were assured promotion. The bloke who made the announcement was stood near me and the emotions I went through around that time, from hope, through high, to low through anger, were like an adrenaline rush.
As we went up via the playoffs and things have gone from good to unbelievably good I can look back on that day and still enjoy the ride.
I am a bit of a wierdo

That day was one of the lowest times ever supporting southend. Remember the game and events after very well. th whole day was a big nightmare. B4 the game nearly got run over by some clown who couldnt see 4 of us walking across the road. Having walked by the home end b4 the game as got a little bit lost. The faces of about 15 northern C#@ts just staring at us like they were about to charge at us wasnt too pleasant. The game was pretty poor, when heard the swansea game was drawing went mental only to find out it was aload of rubbish. Having all them liitle chavs around the pitch coming up to us gloating about it all, Atleast we were allowed to get on there and get them moved back. when on the pitch somehow i found myself in the middle of 5 grimsby lads were wanted to beat the sh!t out of me. Only for the old bill to pull me away and tell me to F#@k off b4 i get nicked. When i was arguing that he shouldnt be soo rude to me, he threatened too arrest me. On way back it rained soo much i was soaked. Didnt get home till about 11.00. I would rather have Borient go up then them northern monkeys, cheating t%$&*rs.

i cut my leg jumping up and down when swansea "let the goal in" and banging it on the seat behind me, but didn't notice until about 30 mins after the game!

the scar was there for about 6 months!

When you watch all the League 2 highlights on TV it does make you think how absolutely cr@p that league really is. When you watch the teams play at cr@ppy all terraced stadiums on sunday league type pitches it makes you wonder how lucky we actually are not playing in that league no more.

Any town where the fish shops dont know what a saveloy is, is obviously going to be crap and i hope they fail to go up, and then lose in the play off final.
