Ha! I just realised how it looked - I was actually in the away end, I got the picture from a Grimsby message board.

Before that game I had no feeling for Grimsby as a side but after various events of that fateful afternoon I now have nothing but loathing for that fishy team and their hooly wannabee supporters.

I still maintain that **** of a referee bottled it & only played 88 minutes of that match.

It was spooky watching TV Heaven Telly Hell the other night as Johnny Vaughan picked Soccer Saturday as his TV Heaven & the clip they showed was of the Grimsby v Southend result coming through.  Brought all the despondancy back despite it being the first time I'd ever seen that piece of TV as I was there that day for real
