I hope nobody got hurt, end of the day the gate can be replaced and forgotten about, 3 points go on record, so I think we had the last laugh!

Nobody got hurt. One year the Millwall mob came into the North Bank and were chased out by the Leigh Comm mob. After that they brought down much bigger nastier mobs, that used to break down the massive blue gate at the back of the North Bank and then take the North Bank. So breaking down gates goes way back in their hooligan history.

I left just as they started to smash this down, a few jumped over and managed to get some metal poles to help them, I could see it was going to get nasty and there wasn't anything stopping them entering the east stand to cause even more problems.

Nearly every big game now there's issues with that gate but we STILL don't have any police or stewards manning it, just a matter of time till something bad happens again like Port Vale last year!

75 was the first time I saw them actually take the North Bank - in fact it was the first time I ever saw the North Bank taken.

I work with quite a few Millwall fans and have enjoyed myself this morning, holding up my fingers indicating the score, sending them highlights of the match by e-mail and one even walked in to see find a stick of Southend rock on his desk. Re the gates, I have told all of them, if they are not returned/fixed/paid for within the week I will duly un-sign that petition to save the Den.

what is it with certain clubs fans clinging onto some far gone, nostalgic attitude towards football and society? Millwall really don't do themselves any favours, not that I actually think they care to be honest.

I love the fact that they posted video of those doing it on the web, not exactly Einstein are they?
Should imagine they've saved @SUFCPolice a deal of hassle....

The Police haven't got time, resources, man power to investigate stuff like that nowadays. All low level crime they don't bother.

The thing is it's not the first time recently that this has happened, Port Vale got it down and started throwing punches at anyone and everyone so why haven't the club learnt to put stewards or police in front of it to protect the fans leaving the east stand each game?

The sad fact is that if one of these charming young men had gone on to get a kicking later in the evening, and sustained serious injury, he would be instantly transformed to a decent family man who just loved his football.

I'm not surprised they were in a hurry to leave but the police should have made them go back and watch the second half.

The best thing is that they don't have to pull or bash them down, if they lift them up, they can simply lift them off the hinges
