The reporters on the site claimed that Watford didn't value him above £500k. That's not the same thing.

A players value is a subjective opinion anyway. There's probably Southend fans out there who wouldn't value Eastwood above £500k

For what it is worth there has been nothing re Rosa to Southend ( or anywhere )up here. However he is on the list, and McCarthy is probably willing to let him go for around the price mentioned. He is an attacking central midfielder who loves getting in the box, he reminded Wolves fans of a younger Colin Cameron when he first signed. His downfall at Molineux was probably being linked with Hoddle! I certainly think he could do a good job in League One. Nobody at Molineux moaned when he was given a 3 year contract in 2006 – though he is surplus to requirements now.

I'm surprised there have been no bids for Jemal Johnson. We have obviously got other strikers in mind for our tilt at promotion next season yet there is no doubt Jemal has what it takes to be 'a bit special' if he can get a good run in a side for a while. I think he would be excellent at League One level.

Johnson was on loan at Leeds last season but they cannot sign anyone yet. I don’t know whether he would consider Southend but they are in the same division as Leeds, so maybe you could steal a march? However, I'd think if Southend wanted either of the players mentioned they would make sure Wolves agreed to include them in any deal for Eastwood.
