HT season up

sufcintheprem

This is a modified caption
Pretty disappointing 5th place finish after last season's success. I did manage to improve the squad though and with one of the better teams dropping out and the top team (who won every game) going up, should be a lot to play for next season. The big problem of teams coming in and spending themselves out of the game might be overcome as my team is probably good enough to beat a team built with the initial money they give you. Last day draw with the best team not to get promoted with the faltering form of last year's relegated team shows promise. Still need to get my training regime sorted.

Hoping for : 2nd
Expecting : 3rd

Despite already being relegated, I managed to bit the top team 3 - 2

Hoping for an easier ride in Div 7 next year and an instant return to Div 6.

A 0-0 draw against the leaders not only cemented an excellent 3rd place finish for me, it also meant they missed out on the title on goal difference having led for the whole season!

3rd was way beyond my expectations, the division finished as 10th hardest out of 256 Level V's and the team that got relegated in 7th averaged 180 hatstats! 218 hatstats today, not to be sniffed at. Hoping to improve my keeper from excellent to magnificent at the start of next season so that should boost my hatstats and CA ability.

Final league table:
1. Accrington Stanley 14 43 - 18 28
2. Feed the pouch 14 32 - 15 28
3. ShrimperZone FC 14 24 - 19 25
4. The Wolves FC 14 26 - 24 22
5. TeAm ChAIn3D 14 16 - 19 21
6. The Horse Shoes 14 25 - 25 20
7. The Skunted 14 25 - 33 17
8. All Clued Up 14 4 - 42 3

Next season? Don't really want to go up to IV yet, my CA abilities should mean I wouldn't be too embarrassed but I'd like a couple more seasons reaping the rewards of good results/gates etc. Accrington can hit 230 hatstats so I'd fancy them to do ok in a qualifier and there's always the chance of a monster team deliberately relegating to get some cash in the coffers. I'll take 3rd again then go for it the season after.

Managed to avoid auto-relegation, which was my goal for the season and the qualifier I have is a lot like my team, but they have a few suspensions and a couple of injuries, not sure if I want to win.

1. Fluff Fighters 14 45 - 15 33
2. On The Ball City 14 42 - 22 29
3. Bolton Forever 14 42 - 19 26
4. Clammy Buttocks Uni 14 34 - 20 25
5. Chipstick f.c 14 26 - 14 24
6. The Shrimpers 14 15 - 30 10
7. FC Ipswich 14 5 - 37 9
8. quincy & the cats 14 8 - 60 6

Next season, when he pops, I'll be selling my best player and hopefully bringing in a very good striker, hopefully around World Class level.

Lost my last game 2-1 to the winners of my league, But Im back in level 6 next season

1. 10 goats and a shee 14 67 - 4 42
2. shrimper 14 44 - 17 28

3. Girvan Amateurs 14 30 - 24 25
4. Worcester Blues 14 22 - 32 19
5. South Stoke 14 21 - 39 16
6. United Wirral villa 14 19 - 30 15
7. bluesion UTD 14 15 - 50 12
8. F.C. Penwortham 14 23 - 45 9

Well, unexpectedly, I managed to draw my last game of the season and ended up 4th in the table - so no play-off qualifier.

Fundamentally, I've not dedicated enough time to working out what my training regime ought to be and how to get the best out of the players on my books. Certainly, 3-4-3 hasn't really worked that well for me this season - I am getting hammered in midfield despite having three magnificent central midfielders, and that's a big problem.

So, what are my plans? Well, to be honest, I expected to be relegated this season and haven't been... but part of me wishes I had been. I reckon I'll be relegated next year, and having a season of being thrashed actually ain't much fun.

On the plus side, I should at least never have to buy another keeper for a very, very long time (1st XI is extra-terrestrial, 2nd XI is outstanding) and my centre half is still a good-un, but I need new midfielders... which means I need to sell.

I'm selling my 29 year old magnificent midfielder this week (deadline is 7pm HT time on Thurs), and then I'll need to sell one of my forwards once next season has started. If I can get him to pop to magnificent scoring sooner rather than later, then I'll flog him. At that point, I can buy a supernatural + midifielder, and at that point I'll probably switch to training playmaking... it's the only way I can compete, I think.

Have been promoted to the same league V as Southchurch United so a bit of a local derby to look forward to next year

Finished 3rd again which was good, and we're making strides towards progressing further. We're not good enough yet to challenge for promotion, but we are good enough to look at 2nd place next season.

The team's looking somewhat solid throughout

Outstanding

Formidable World Class Magnificent

Outstanding Supernatural World Class Magnificent Brilliant

Magnificent Outstanding

A disappointing second place, I've gone sideways and haven't really improved which has prompted me to abandon striker training and train wingers.

Looks like one of the better teams has pretty much been abandoned. Huge slice of luck having two solid teams abandoned and a pretty formidable team going up. Unlikely promotion push possible for the Commoners....

Finally finished the season in 3rd place. The top team for the second year running will probably lose their qualifier meaning another tough season for me next year but the gap in class is narrowing and I have £1.2 million in the bank to strengthen the team with one of the brilliant defenders due to pop in 2 maybe 3 games so he'll be sold as well.

Team as follows:

Formidable

Outstanding Brilliant Brilliant Outstanding Formidable

Formidable Outstanding Formidable Outstanding

Formidable

All I need to do is decide where to strengthen. Not too worried about the keeper as I only conceded 9 goals all season. I actually played with an excellent striker in most of the games and as I didn't have too many problems scoring goals I'll probably opt for a centre mid. Should be able to pick up a magnificent or maybe better.

Well now that my season has finished and after a season of training passing (well I thought what else could a PM trainer train without upsetting the schedule to much).

I have managed to stay up in Level IV seems the team below must of have been hit hard by the form monkey as sudden his hatstats rocketed and mine tumbled so he ended up over taking me and forcing me into 5th.

However contentiously the team I faced in the qualifier did not field a team and such I got a 5-0 walkover, can only guess he wanted to stay in level 5. Looking at the previous stats I should have beaten him but I know my luck in these relegation qualifiers is none to good.

Oh well time to plan for next season.

Erm, PM?

Picked up a WC playmaker yesterday for 970,000. I can't believe how depressed the market is now. I could have gone much higher but wages were a factor and I'm pretty sure he'll be more than good enough for this level. Still leaves me 400K in the bank with another sale to go. I'm looking forward to next season already.
