How was your weekend?

mine was alright. looks like i have found a new place to live so its gonna be goodbye to roots hall towers

Wasn't a bad weekend but it was a bit tiring. Went to Hudds saturday, then watched the Grand Prix on Sunday morning. Had to get up at 10 to do some shopping as I don't get much chance in the week. Went for a swift half in the pub in the evening.

Mie was a mixed bag as follows

GOOD

1) Spent both days with the Mrs.
2) Think I have found tenants for one of my flats.
3) Southend won.
4) Had a nice night with the Mrs round my mates.

BAD

1) Customer called me up saturday to have a moan about his mortgage on something that he had ****ed up.
2) Mrs mentioned that it was my turn to bleach the bathroom and I hate that job.
3) Went to Worthing with the Mrs for a nice day on by the seaside and it was cold wet and pikey.

So really a mixed bag to be honest.

Ux - J. Sheekey's: top work, sir. A fantastic restaurant, one of the nicest I think I've ever been to.

My weekend... good!

Friday night - North London CAMRA beer festival with my sisters and a mate, some excellent real ales and a good natter.

Saturday - excellent cooked breakfast at a mate's in Hackney, drove up to Birmingham (with no hold-ups on the M1, a minor miracle), met up with a mate whose 30th birthday is tomorrow, a pint in a lovely CAMRA pub in Brum, to the Hawthorns for West Brom v. Leicester - a very entertaining game indeed (4-1 to the visitors!), even if my sympathies lay with the home side whose fans were in fantastic voice, lovely meal out in Warwick, drinks afterwards, catching some of the Test on the telly back at the hotel.

Sunday - drive back to London, sung in a lovely concert in a church by Sloane Square, went home.

Only bad point really was getting stuck in terrible traffic on the M40, heading back into London, on the Saturday. Even the awful weather didn't really dampen spirits too much.

:)

Friday - Beer and poker
Saturday - Andy D'Urso's finest ever refereeing performance followed by beer and poker
Sunday - Lie-in and a ladyfriend.

Got to be a straight-up 10 for that :)

Terrible

Had to go in to hospital on Thursday for a straight forward double tooth extraction. Was out by midday so thought would have Friday to recover in time to take my little girl to the Huddersfield game on Saturday.

Thursday night I was getting blood clots in my mouth and was taken back into hospital at 8am on the Friday morning. I had tests, more stitches and a thing called Factor VIII infusion. This is a blood thickening agent which should stem the bleeding. I ended up having to stay in until 6pm on Saturday night. So missed the game and have been in pain ever since.

The one hiighlight was waking the ward of old people as I watched score on the patientsline television. Macca's goal came up and I shouted in delight. They were not happy, but as I told the nurse who asked me to keep quiet, "they kept me awake all night with their wailing, crying and snoring, so fairs, fair"

So no not a good weekend but was made better by the result.

I had a great weekend, Friday night I went out to the bars and had a good time, Saturday night I went over to my ex-girlfriends apartment and hung out with her (I know that probably doesn't sound like fun, but it was) and then last night I went to Nuggets-Sonics game where I saw the Nuggets score the most points in regulation in their history (168) and win by 52.
