HMRC law change?

More to the point, HMRC would give them that opportunity. If Ron came in to another winding up hearing with a cheque, I'm sure that HMRC would be willing to accept and do anything to stop the winding up, even if the judge is embarking on the moral crusade that some are suggesting here.

In praise of "serial defaulters?" ;)
I'm aware that you(and perhaps one or two others on SZ)think I'm some sort of Commie(and I'd cheerfully admit to being an ex-Marxist).However, I'm enough of a capitalist to believe that individuals(or companies, which includes football clubs),who can't pay their employees on time, on a regular basis, or run their businesses at a small operating profit(at least),deserve to go bankrupt.
I sincerely hope that never happens in the case of SUFC, but I can envisage circumstances where it might,or where the best case scenario, for all concerned, could be Administration.
While (as we're all aware)football clubs are NOT typical businesses because of their links to the local community, which they come from and serve and which so many local people identify with, they still need to be properly run.
