To be fair, he doesn't ever seem like he's going to start scoring.
If Tilly's got someone else coming in (which one would hope he does, as otherwise we're screwed until MacDonald is fit) he might as well send him out on loan to see if he can score goals and build up a little bit of confidence.

OK I'm not 100% sure on this record but excluding Goalkeepers the Southend record for most games without scoring a league goal is held by legend Dave Robinson (1928 to 1939) he scored his first and only goal in his 316th game, he only went on to play 1 more game after that.
As for record number of league games between scoring goals that is a bit harder to find out, maybe club historians Peter Smiles or Dave Goodbody might know the answer.
