Hi Everyone

Great to hear from a legend such as yourself stan.. Don't think i was a member the last time you was around on here so first chance ive had to read what you post on here.

Its good to know that people like you are still around in the footballing world, too often players forget what made them who they are and its a shame. Im sure everyone is thankful for your offer.

Thank you Stan for taking the time to post.
It means a lot to the supporters that you still have time for us and our Club.
I am sure that the Trust will be very appreciative of your offer to help as and how you are able. Thanks again.

Nice one Stan .. great to see you back on SZ

Time to tap up some of your old mates for a few quid methinks

Great to see Stan back on here, good man!

Surely it should be up to the Trust (I've given up on the club thinking out of the box) to approach Stan for help in any fundraising activities rather than saying "Stan, call the Trust, they will want your help!"...

Rich, we're trying our best!!! I've sent Stan's message onto the relevant people.

can anyone dig out the old pic of stan with the SZ sign? I've searched but can't find it

Hi guys,

Long time no speak!

I'm as disturbed as all of you on here that the club is in the situation that it is.

Several years ago i spoke to Ron Martin and told him that if the club needed to use me in ANY way,i would make myself available for the sole benefit of the club,in whatever capacity they see fit.

Unfortunately the call never came but the offer still stands.

I am gutted that the club which gave me the biggest push early in my career has this hanging over it but i'm sure that the club will come out of it stronger and have a plan moving forward.

If Southend United need me,i am here.

All the very best

Stan Collymore
SUFC 1992-1993.

How about lending us about £660,000?

Hello Stan

First off - Great to hear from you again..Southends favourite son.

Any chance you could get together a consortium of very rich footballing loving people please? I am sure there could be money to be made once the club actually gets to the new stadium - if it ever happens.

Either way thanks for the memories and your offer of help.

Great to hear from the man himself!! As has been said, its going to be a hectic week this week me thinks and i doubt there's a whole lot that can be done in just 6/7 days but im gladly be proved wrong.

I listen to Talk sport at night

Very impressed with Stans Knowledge and his in depth analyses of the beautiful game

Well done

Stan,

You're a legend mate and always will be at this club, and to be honest when the news we'd all been dreading hit the public domain I expected nothing less than you pledging your full support and you certainly didn't disappoint. I wonder how many other ex-players would bother to do the same.

I sincerely hope the club gets in contact with you to discuss any possible suggestions, be it fundraising ideas or for help in another capacity. We're all hoping this is just a short-term cash flow problem but the signs aren't good.

Even some publicity via your TalkSport show again this weekend would help, I know you talked over the club's plight yesterday on air and I'm sure publicity alone can make a difference. I'd imagine there'll be some calls from worried Blues fans come Saturday night.

Cheers mate,

Angell Delight

Nice to have you back on board here, Stan, but bearing this in mind do you think you recent comments regarding promotion / relegation were a bit premature, as such a move would precipitate a lot more clubs getting into the same situation as us?

Nevertheless, any help you can offer would be appreciated by all and your description of how Pepe Reina went for the beach ball rather than the football the other weekend was top class listening!
