has anyone else lost the commentary on the Blues player??
Is it full time
Let's not get carried away, Blair seems to have done well today, setting up one and scoring one, but don't expect him to be scoring on a regular basis. However, he does seem to have a decent cross on him so he might well set up a few for Corr. Barry on the other hand could grab a good amount this season on his early showing.Blair
Barry
The haters :D
Barry has now scored more this season than he did in the whole of last year. Delighted for him and Blair as I'm pretty fed up of the stick they are getting from people who somehow think Paterson and Spencer have miraculously turned into world beaters after a few games on the bench.
Six bums on the bench?but if spencer and patts were on it would six
I'm with you on this one....Blair and Corr have worked their socks off every time I've seen them this season. Funny how players suddenly become great when on the bench.
Exactly the same thing happened with Joe Cole during the World Cup. Before the world cup the general opinion that he was an injury-ridden show-pony but yet after the 0-0 draw with Algeria he had suddenly turned into a combination of Zidane and Garrincha.
Don't get me wrong I rate Paterson and Spencer but I can't see where they would fit in, Paterson reminds me of Mitchell Cole, loads of ability but too weak, needs to bulk up. Spencer seems to have an eye for goal but has gone badly off the boil since Tilson left. I understand Crawford was on the bench today, were the other two?
I'm led to believe there was interest in Paterson over the summer so it wouldn't surprise me. I'd be disappointed to lose them because they have got a certain amount of potential but we can't afford to be waiting around for them to blossom.
No sign of them on the bench. I'm guessing they will be heading out on loan somewhere for now and possibly permanently in January.
It is indeed a shame as I think both have something to offer, particularly Paterson, who I think will develop into a very decent player with time as he's very skilful. He's not really been given much of a chance since he signed, IMHO. Tilly played him as a lone frontman in his first two games, which didn't do him any favours, then subsequently dropped him. I didn't see the Bristol City game but by all accounts he was excellent and he had a decent pre-season as well. It also doesn't help that he's been mainly deployed out wide when coming on as a sub. Obviously this is premature but I think we may regret letting him go if that's the case. They did not even travel. Both were left back home.
Safe to say they will be shipped out one way or the other asap. It's game over for those two I think, which is a shame.
