Anyone else underwhelmed by the appointment of Rix as head coach of HMFC? Was hoping thet'd break the weedgies monopoly on the SPL this season. Still if nothing else it'll hone the rhyme making skills of the wags in the Hibs, Celtic & Rangers support.

i think he is quite a poor choice. I really don't rate Rix at all. But i hope Hearts do well this season and end the monopoly that is rangers and Celtic

The SPL has been gripping so far this season, much more interesting & open than the Premier$hite. I hope it continues as it's been great seeing Hearts & Hibs giving the tic a run for their money. Rangers slide from grace has been an added bonus as well.

I'm afraid the appointment of Rix tells you all you need to know about Roman Romanov... one might almost accuse him of being a latter day Robert Maxwell - a total megalomaniac who is playing with his new toy - aka HMFC.

What's the betting that he appointed Rix because (a) when all the other managers of better calibre realised whome they'd have to work under, they all politely declined; and (b) only Rix is desperate enough - and starved enough of opportunities elsewhere - that he is prepared to sit there and say "yes sir, no sir, three bags full sir" to his new paymaster?

The Jambos may have kept hold of Tyncastle when they embraced Romanov to their club with open arms, but I wonder how they're feeling now about the Faustian pact they appear to have struck...

Anyhoo, what price Gorgeous George Burley for the job at Ibrox?  If McLeish is still there at Hogmanay I'll be amazed...

Hearts were going to go on tour to Florida with Falkirk next summer, but it's been called off.

Rix can't go to Tampa with the Bairns.

But seriously....as someone who backed the Jambos in the 'betting without the Old Firm' market, this appointment has really hacked me off

I'm also nursing one helluva hangover following last night's Old Firm win for the Hoops. Jameson's on a school night, never a good idea....

Not judging by last night's performance, they were truly woeful. They'll be lucky if they get a UEFA Cup spot this year....

As an exiled Jambo after four years in Edinburgh I can't see Rix being any more than a yes man.

Just as Scottish football was starting to get vaguely interesting it looks like Hearts are starting to fall away...shame.
