The average amount of goals per game back in the 20s/30s must have been double that compared with today.
 
No it is not. There is no such thing as a true hat trick in football. A true hat trick is referred to in Ice Hockey. A perfect hat trick is sometimes referred to by pundits in football - right foot, left foot, header.

I have never, ever seen a claim that scoring three goals in a match wasn't a hat trick
, unless an OG was involved.

Remember Bilel's hat trick against Barnet. They were 3-0 down in 20-25 minutes and there right back got substituted. I was there for Theo's hattrick and only a few thousand people can say that:Smile:
