Hattrick

Division Vs do vary, but I suspect you are in for a tough season. Don't do anything until you've found out what division you are going into.

My advice regardless is to just keep your training going as originally planned and if you go down next year, you go down. Hattrick is a long term game, worry about where you will be in the table in 4 or 5 seasons time, not where you will be next season.

Lost 2-0

I'm away to the top team today, and we're tied on points, but he has me on goal differential. My best IM is also injured, so I'll be relying on counter-attacks.

And that's how it ended. I have a really tough qualification game that I doubt I'll win, so its probably another year in Div. VI for me.

2-0 win to finish second. Accrington have a tough qualifier and I won't look forward to playing either of them on the opening match of next season.

Congrats to ORM at last, you're opposition have recently averaged about 185 hatstats but they're PM trainers so CA him and you might have a chance.

Think I auto promoted (was 2 places off the auto promote line last week, won 4-1 and teams are bound to have dropped points), but when can I find out what division IV I'm going into?

Most important position in hattrick remains midfield, after midfield it is IMHO forwards, then wingers, then defence.

Assuming you are a PM trainer with a training regime encompassing your inner mids and wingers, I wouldn't touch them. They'll improve anyway and you don't want to wreck your training regime.

I'd upgrade your keeper first and foremost. Upgrading your keeper will improve all 3 defence ratings and give you the single biggest improvement for your cash. Look for a brilliant+ keeper. Try and get an English one to save after wages. If you can't afford a keeper that good yet, wait until you can.

After a keeper my next priority would be another forward. You will most probably have to wait and save up, but it'll be worth waiting in the long run.

HKB, You will be replacing Basingstoke Town in level IV.29.

Look on the HATStats page and click on the "quick links" for the promotion tables relevant to you, this applies to anyone else promoting up to level V and above

Thanks HKB. It seems I'm moving to V.254, and the winner of it messaged me saying it's a tough league - bugger.

Now I know where I'm going though I can look for a new keeper. How much should I expect in terms of prize money?

Only solid at the moment Birri, gonna look for brilliant as well I think.

£20,000 prize money?! That's next to nothing. Wish I had a qualifier now.

Won 3-2 despite having my two best defenders out (one to injury, one to suspension). Ended up fifth in the division with a W6 D2 L6 record and (at least) a positive goal difference.

Need both back for my qualifier next Sunday, which looks like a tough game against a wing-specialist trainer...

Matt

Lost my top midfielder and then went from 1-0 up to losing 1-2. I should have MOTS'd, oh well I ended up 3rd with W 9 D 0 L 5 F 33 A 19 GD +14 Pts 27

My best yet at Level IV - time to sort out the defence and strikers
