Last game of the season and I am at home to top spot Wezza.
Should be a full house as Rochford FC go all out MOTS for the win to get the VI.315 championship and a probable playoff match to get up into level V.

Away to the top team, 5 points behind so they have the title wrapped up, a win or a draw will see me finish second.

At least I shall get money for having the top goalscorer.

Playing one of the midtable teams and should win to secure second place.

Too many dropped points from games I shouldn't have done this season though. That said, I was never going to be finishing top so it doesn't really matter. Second is better than I hoped for at the beginning of the season. Anyone potentially coming down from V and looking for a luaghably easy VI?

Guaranteed second - if the top team slips up I get a playoff (assuming I win which could be tough)

Home to top, I think if I win by 3 goals I'm in a play-off, if not 2nd place which will do me fine. 1-0 up at the moment though.

Need a win to stay 2nd, top is 5 points clear so nothing will change there anyway. They will face a qualifier but I hope they go up as they're a very good team.

Hmmmmm 1-0 down that wasn't planned - so second place it is then

Damn and the team top have just gone a goal down

4-0 up in 29 minutes, have my opposition thrown this game?!

EDIT: 5-0 in 30 mins, they must have thrown it.

Bugger me - the team top is losing 2-0 now

I cudda been top - waaaaaaaaah

So there I am 2-0 down with the team in top place losing 4-2. Seven minutes to go and I've settled for 2nd place. Then ...........................

The home team's fans were upset when, in the 83rd minute, the visiting Gibbe Lacroix broke through the central defence and kicked the ball past the keeper. 2 - 1 was the score. Shrimperzone's Delain Peachey was shown a yellow card after 84 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Per Oskarsson's lack of experience almost gave Shrimperzone a goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. The crowd was silenced in the 87th minute as the visiting team's Konstanty Popanda came in from the left, levelling the score to 2 - 2. Lokomotive's Alphonse Saillard had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle in the 88th minute. Tomas Bromo was the replacement. Shrimperzone's Luis Cal managed to lose the defenders as he came down the right side and scored, putting the visitors ahead, 2 - 3. Shrimperzone held the ball, with a clear 55 percent of possession

The winner came in the 90th minute leaving me top on 37 points.

I suspect I'll get spanked in the play-off but I'll settle for that and autopromotion next season.

Won 6-0 and it looks like I may have actually scraped auto-promotion to V. Werent expecting that at all, dont think my team are near good enough as I play with a solid keeper, 2 solid and 1 excellent defenders and 2 solid wingers with excellent PM.

If I were to be promoted, how much would I need to improve these? To at least excellent?

Yay, back up to Div 6, Div 7 was preposterously easy!

I finished 3rd in my level V, with all Brilliant defenders, Supernatural and Titanic PM's a Brilliant winger and a Titanic forward so I think you'll need to improve your squad somewhat

Depends on what your inner midfields and forwards are like.

With 3 world class inner midfielders and 2 world class forwards you'd probably be competing for promotion, with outstandings in those positions you'd probably be competing for a relegation play-off spot, but with excellents you'd more likely than not struggle.

If you do decide to upgrade those players try and go up at least three grades. The difference between solid and excellent is negligible. I'd say its probably not worth buying anyone less than brilliant/magnificent. They might improve your team in the long term, but would need to be replaced sooner rather than later.

Thanks for the advice both of you.

My IM's are currently Magnificent, formidable (close to outstanding I think) and outstanding. Have two formidable in reserves as well so whoever pops to outstanding first will get the place.

I have a brilliant striker, an excellent and a solid. My midfield on normal pulled in a weak (very low) but on MOTS inadequate (low). Have £743K in the bank, is that likely to increase substantially with finishing first? If not, looks like I may not have the funds to improve sufficiently. Stadium is 22K BTW.

Also, incidentally, I need a fresh batch of trainees this year, as my youngest IM will be 21 next season apart from a 17 year old I have at the moment.
