Harry Potter actor stabbed to death - SUFC youth team player injured

Tom Hopkins, a youth team player (going on loan to CD Javea, I believe) was stabbed in the head whilst pinning down a 21 year old who stabbed to death Rob Knox who had just completed filming his part in the upcoming Harry Potter film.

Our thoughts should go out to the family of Rob Knox, however, I'm sure everybody will also salute the bravery of Tom Hopkins.

For those who don't know, Knox played Marcus Belby in Half-Blood Prince.

I assume by his being able to talk to the press that Tom is stable at the least?

Absolutely, another very sad story involving the death of a young lad in circumstances which strike terror into the heart of every parent.

Unbelievable that SOME of the youth of today think the answer to everything is take what you want when you want it, even if that means someone else's life.

According to the paper reports today, Tom was one of the two lads who tried to restrain the knifeman. His bravery bodes well for his future methinks.

It makes you think what would you have done if you were in Tom Hopkins shoes. I'd like to think I would have done the same but you would never know until you are in the situation and lets all hope we never get in that situation. Very brave young man for tackling the piece of scum that was carrying knives about.

RIP Robert Knox

RIP Robert Knox.

Well done to Hopkins though. The sort of bravery that makes you think there is some good in the youth of today.

Thats the trouble with the media. The only report on the negative and have created an impression that everyone under 18 is a hoodied up chav ready to slit your throat as soon as look at you.
