Harry Kewell Goes To Murderers!

Not saying I agree with this or how it's made but it's an interesting point:

Get a life you sad leeds fans, yes its sad about what happenend to 2 of your fans. But the club didnt do it and kewell didn't either, and all this coming from the dirtiest and most violent fans in the country, leave the man and his family alone and concentrate on your own team and playing in league 1 again!!

In fact after re-reading, just look at the italicised bit!

I think that statement is interesting. However, whose to say the fans that were killed were anything to do with the dirty fans? It's not fair to make a sweeping statement and say that just because a large amount of Leeds fans are dirty, that it doesn't matter if one of them is killed?

Fair point about the club or Kewell not doing it but its the way it was handled after that has annoyed people. It's not the fact that Kewell is moving to the club it's what the move represents. Utter disrespect in my eyes, whether it be dirty Leeds or whoever, I don't agree at all. I think it's disgraceful and I am sure any Southend fan would feel the same had this happened to one of our fans.

   Well said. You have summed up my feelings exactly

Im not sure Leeds as a club are in the best position to take the moral high ground on such issues. I must have missed the reports of banning orders etc imposed by Leeds on their fans who sing about Munich.

I think you sum it up yourself. It was a problem that Leeds were pro-active with, same as violence which blighted our reputation 20 years ago. The point i was making is that what happened that night in terms of response would not have happened with an english club.
A minority of "Leeds fans" have sung the Munich song in the past, some still do, many more don't. Everytime i have heard it started it has been drowned out by a clear majority in recent years. We are not the only club to have sung it and we won't be the last. It had pretty much disappeared untill we played them at Elland Road with a certain banner just after this incident. Some of your fans chanted about this at us the last couple of times we have played each other. Sadly there are morons in society at every level.
