Macdonald's scoring record for us is better than, say, Gary Hooper's. I'm not saying that means we should be keeping him, but he has contributed to the team this season with 5 goals in 15 starts (according to Soccerbase anyway).

Perhaps they could form a crime fighting duo. I'd imagine Charlie would be the wise cracking cockney with an attitude, he fights the law but doesn't always abide to it himself. Harrold would be the sensitive, laid back, thinking man... Assisting Chaz using his only notable talent: his multitude of disguises ranging from Prince Harry to Chris Evans...

I'd imagine it'd be called something really trendy and retro involving a pun or play on words, I'll plump for "Chaz Mat", Because they're hazardous to the health of criminals and villains alike.

Agreed. I really don't rate them at all. Both try hard but just don't seem to be able to put the ball in the back of net, which is obviously so vital for strikers to do.

Charlie did have that spell (his only run in the team) when he got 4 in 7 between injuries,

I like him so would like to see him get another year

You can never fault Charlie's effort and work rate but he isnt good enough for this level

If they have both got time on contracts they should either be sold or loaned. If we get anything for either of them it will be a bonus. Similarly if some other mug of a club wants to be loaned them and pay their wages then let em.

Harrold and Collis both signed more or less together from Yeovil, but for some reason, Harrold got a 3 year contract and Collis only 2. Charlie Mac I'm pretty sure was given a 2 year last year.

If other clubs are in for Harrold then it has to be in everyone's best interests for him to go. I'm not unhappy with Charlie, he's like a terrier and will score some goals given a decent strike partner IMO.

...thanks mainly to Cup matches against a lower-league Club, the worst-non-league side I've ever seen a Southend team face and Watford's reserves. Charlie Mac's league record is 1 goal in 11 starts compared to Hooper's 2 in 8 starts.

Matt Harrold won't be here next year. Personally I'm hoping that Charlie MacDonald won't either. He works hard, but unlike Walker, Revell and even Harrold who bring something else to the side, I don't see what MacDonald is going to be in the side for other than to score goals, which I just don't think he's good enough to do at this level.
