What about the other 40 mins we were woeful, what's the excuse for that?

We were terrible. My mistake on not specifying the exact part but I was referring to the point which was made that we were not going for it in the last few minutes.

True. We didn't go for it for the whole second half so we were never going to go for it last 5 mins. We were very lucky to get the draw

Quite honestly i don't come on here much because of people like you that put up with any old **** e.....today's second half was the most pathetic piece of management that i have ever seen!

Ever thought of posting when we're doing well? No thought not, not sensational enough. First half was good though wasn't it.

I have done all year but i knew any criticism would get you popping up.........an ok first half followed by the usual Brown tactical suicide!

......do you remember when we used to kick right to left with the home support in the yellows. Normally bombarded the goal for the second half to win a match.......not under Brown we don't. Think he should sit in the middle of the pitch and have rotten tomatoes thrown at him for losing games when we have clearly dominated the first half.......remember how he showed up his players at Hull for there incompetence!

All of you only back Brown because he took Hull to the Prem, and you are all stupid enough to think he will do the same with us. He is not the man to get us promoted.

The 2005/2006 season is rated by many of us as our best season in recent years, winning League 1 with 82 points. Here are our results for the first six league games that season:

Port Vale at home Lost 2-1
Bradford City away Won 2-0
Walsall away Drew 2-2
Huddersfield at home Drew 1-1
Scunthorpe away Lost 1-0
Colchester at home Won 3-1

Total points after six games - 8

We had also lost 3-0 at home to Southampton in the League Cup.

Some of you were, no doubt , calling for Tilly to be sacked then, just as you are calling for Brown's head now with exactly the same points total after six league games.

Just an observation.

In those six games we took points off teams that were to finish 3rd, 4th and 11th. This year we have not taken points off anyone outside the bottom 8.

That year we were adjusting to life at a higher standard of football; this year we are playing our umpteenth consecutive year in the basement.

Poor comparison in my view.

You miss my point. Early season form and results are often misleading as predictors of how the season will end. After six games that season, Colchester had only 5 points but ended with 79; Walsall had 9 points and ended rock bottom of the division with 47; Port Vale and Scunthorpe both started the season well but ended in 12th and 13th places with only 60 points. Only Huddersfield and Bradford City of those six teams I quoted ended the season roughly where they were after 6 games. I agree that our form is not great at present but it takes far more than six league games to predict whether or not the poor form is irreversible without sacking the manager. Living in Lincolnshire, I have watched Lincoln City make a series of knee-jerk sackings of managers over the recent years, and look where that got them.

Some ridiculous comments being bandied about. Clubs should sack a manager for a few reasons - the main ones being when the clubs appears to be heading nowhere or when he has lost the dressing room. 90% of us were calling that Brown was getting it right last season compared to Sturrocks tenure - especially for the long term and it doesn't look to me like he has lost the dressing room. We have one problem which is not scoring enough goals, as soon as we become a club that sacks their manager for that one reason alone is the day I will have serious worries over the direction our football club is going in. We are in league two for a reason and can't just sign strikers that are proven goalscorers, in my mind PB was seriously handicapped by Rons decision to sign Lee Barnard on a one year contract. I very much doubt with the wages Barney is on that we would be able to sign a striker like Tubbs aswell. Lets keep the faith and hope that we discover a rough diamond from somewhere or that our loanee starts doing the business. I for one, don't want to see any manager get sacked before 12-15 games into a season unless there are extreme circumstances. When Lenny or Hurst start finding some form, we will be fine.

totally agree with this!
