I would say it sounds like he has a chip on both shoulders, at least that way it evens things up

That would explain his height then...
Being as he's vertically challenged perhaps he has a sack of spuds on each shoulder holding him down.

Perhaps he should try sleeping in a grow bag

Can someone please point me in the direction of the offending passages.

It looked like me that he just said he stopped enjoying his football. Is that really a hanging offence?

I thought the more interesting bit was where he said that we did well last season was through hard work. His work-rate dropped substantially this season leaving our midfield underpowered.

Anyone think maybe we had hinted at a new longer, better contract which, after seeing him play at Championship level, has not been forthcoming?

He has been so off form.Remember he got booked alot for snapping at peoples' ankles last season and was not beyond having a shot or two but none of that has happened this time.

He will look back in years to come with major regrete at this wasted opportunity in making the grade at this level. Players shouldn't need to be motivated by anyone when they're stepping out and performing in the fantastic stadiums that grace this division. He was the blue eyed boy last year, the one man(apart from Freddy) who could have gone on to much bigger and better things..... but for whatever reason he choose to thrown a strop and has now blown it big time. He will look back and weep at this day.

Will you throw a Guttridge style strop when I drop you from the SZFC line up this weekend, and demand a transfer to Allclaims II's?

But Gutts has a point there, doesn't he? We genuinely weren't a team with fantastic ability last season. We did try to play the right way but ultimately the reason we won League 1 was due to an excellent team ethic which enabled us to grind out enough points. Only on a few occasions - Brentford at home, Col U away, second half against Yeovil - did we genuinely rip the opposition to shreds. So actually Gutts was paying us a compliment by saying we were a hard-working team.

Overall, however, Gutts' attitude has been very disappointing. This season he has been a pale imitation of the terrier-like midfielder we saw in League 1 and he should be grateful that Tilly persisted with him as long as he did. Football is a squad game now and rather than whinge about being left out, he should be rolling up his sleeves and battling for his place back.

I wonder what Mark Gower makes of Gutts' tantrums. For ages Gower was out of favour - and rightly so - due to his lack of fitness but I don't remember him ever complaining. He worked hard to address these issues and look at him now - a first team regular playing some of his best football. He should have been Gutts' role model.

Gutts had an excellent season in League 1 and I'll always acknowledge him for that, but his spoilt brat attitude is not needed at the club and I'm really not sorry to see him go.

Like HKB and Kris, I don't really see what he has said wrong, he wasn't happy not being in the first team, so he's gone out on loan, if he has a good spell and comes back and wants to fight for his place, great, or if he doesn't wish to come back, we sell him, great, a bit of money to spend on another player.

the way Richard Cody has been talking him up over the past year or so he must be worth twice as much as Freddy!

''stroppy little git'' - exactly

has the ability, and I think is fairly commited to HIS football - but doesn't have the heart for the club.
