Benjy scoring at Bury?
Freddie's goal beats Man Utd?
Piggot equalises in Play-Off Final?
Bentley saves to win Play-Off Final?
Other?

Would have to be pig for me... Don't think anything will ever match those celebrations when the ball hit the net.

All great memories but for me the Benjy goal and win at Bury as getting promotion to the second tier of English football for the first time was something I always hoped we would achieve. Also the manner we did it with being down to ten men for so long before the late winner made the celebrations although not as loud or with so many fans as those at Wembley they were just as enjoyable.

Duncan Jupp goal for me. Sealed the feeling of promotion. Nothing was really set in stone until the end of the game for the others. Plus my first promotion experience so I'm biased.

I was only listening on the radio but nothing can match Benji's goal at Bury.

We'd waited 80+ years for promotion to the second tier of English football and to finally realise a dream which had once seemed unobtainable meant that the future felt limitless.

I was at Bury. The celebrations after the goal and the final whistle were something I haven't seen since then. The Pig goal celebration was great but not on a par with Bury.

I cried at Bury. I did not cry at Wembley or Cardiff or Roots Hall v Man Ure or at Stockport, Peterborough or Swansea. I did have some pre-cum watching Maher tear QPR apart single handedly.

I was in tears when Pigotts goal went in. I don't know if anything will ever come close to that.

I think Eastwood's goals at Swansea to guarantee us promtoion deserve to be in that list.

But for me, and I don't know if it's just because it's still so marvelously fresh, but at the moment, it's Pigott. It was incredible.

Id have loved to been able to see Benjis goal and feel what that was like. In my lifetime though, got to Pigott. After that I almost didnt care if we won or not.

Gray's goal v Bristol City should surely feature on the short-list (it secured our highest ever honour after all)....

Our 6-1 away win in the first round of the old league cup at Bournemouth in 68.Great time to be a Shrimper.

I have seen the lot...since 1982 anyway.
Bury away was always the one, never to be touched.
Some have come close.
Piggot at wembley....wow just wow. Such late late drama at wembley stadium no less. Then the drama of the shoot out. An added note of sentiment for me was the southend boys on the pitch too. I understand white has always had strong southend family connections. Ad barrett, local lad, Jack payne and Dan Bentley youth products out there contributing to promotion. Bury or wembley???? I am genuinely torn now. Also a mention for the atmosphere at wembley.....moist

Pigott's goal for me. Wasn't at Bury or Cardiff for the last play off win.

I think what makes Pigott's goal so so special and such a defining moment is we were 20 seconds from another season in L2, we were all dejected and feeling a bit down then BOOM, the goal, the elation the realisation we still had a chance. I 've never seen scenes like it. The nearest I've seen was McLaughlins and Timlin's goals in the 2nd leg against Stevenage at Roots Hall and Reeves goal against Orient a couple of years ago in the JPT

Not even Bentley's penalty save at the end got me as emotional as Pigott's goal

I never thought anything would beat Benjy at Bury....but Pigott wow. I think it must be equal billing for different reasons,. But like somone said before, the final Gray goal Bristol city is certainly up there...the end of a season where we played the best football consistently ever seen at The Hall .

It really is difficult to choose as each of my greatest moments have been exactly that at the time they happened. Fred's goal against Man Utd was probably top of my list purely because I really didn't think we had a cat in hell's chance of beating them and the final whistle was absolutely ecstasy. I didn't do Bury, so I can't use that. Pigott's goal and Bentley's penalty stops were just .................well, you were all there, you know what I mean. But I'm also inclined to include Timlin's goal against Stevenage. For pure drama that took some beating. So which one? probably the Pig making time stand still. I will probably argue with myself later on, but for now..........'that will do Pig, that will do'.

If you are talking "moment" rather than achievement, it can only be measured by the feeling you had when it happened therefore is very personal....for me it has to be Pig for the timing, the relief, the joy, the excitement all coming in that final few seconds.
