Nicky Bailey actually played really well in his last ACTUAL appearance, rather than his last scheduled appearance, for the club. Seem to remember it was a bit of a virtuoso performance.

Further back down the decades and you'd have to say Bill Garner I think, weren't Chelsea so impressed when we played them in the early 70s that they promptly bought him next working day?

Stan Collymore.

I will always remember Stan Collymore celebrating on the pitch after we beat Luton to stay up in 1993.He said in his book it was one of the greatest moments in his career
