This is still my favourite night at the Hall3-1 down to Norwich in the Championship. Still one of my favourite ever home games.

Re the game versus Cambridge in 1986, which I think was a Football League Trophy game, who the devil was Littlejohns who got our winning 5th goal?Since we joined the league in 1920, we had come back to win from 2 goals down on 22 occasions. Yes I enjoyed that one. It was our first FA cup replay away from home for 70 years.FA Cup 2002 , goals from Bramble and Cort in last three minutes to win 2-1 away to Hartlepool. I remember being at a foggy Services on the way back thinking that it had all been a dream.![]()
I've sometimes wondered if any other team has managed to score a goal 8 v 11?Wembley against Wycombe.
Darlington (I think): 0-2 at home and won 3-2. Mark Gower was on the score sheet.
2003/2004. 0-1 away at Swansea should get an honourable mention given we managed to come away with a 3-2 win having had 3 players sent off.
Remember it well, Hartlepool took the lead and sat on it. We thought it was excellent to get a late equaliser taking it to extra time and went wild when we got the lead straight after and won within the 90 minutes.FA Cup 2002 , goals from Bramble and Cort in last three minutes to win 2-1 away to Hartlepool. Tbh it shouldn’t get just an “honourable mention” it should go down as one of the best results we ever had, especially given the context of the whole situation.Wembley against Wycombe.

Apparently not, at least not from open play. Apparently it's one of 2 world records SUFC hold. (The other is Freddy Eastwood's debut goal being the fastest ever debut goal.)I've sometimes wondered if any other team has managed to score a goal 8 v 11?
World records? Wow. That’s pretty impressive!Apparently not, at least not from open play. Apparently it's one of 2 world records SUFC hold. (The other is Freddy Eastwood's debut goal being the the fastest ever debut goal.)
