Great British Heroes

Sorry, that puts him a split second behind Stuart Hall in the two-faced stakes. I did a Charity Its a Knockout event years ago at Battersea Park. You will never meet a more miserable ****er in all your life until you give him a crowd and a microphone, disappear in the tent again and it's like a like being switched off.

I bet there a quite a few "celebs" who are like that, even if only small time celebs. Hall was probably doing it for free, Widdell was probably being well paid & looked after by Sky.

A waste of space the pair of them!!

my 10 in no particular order are

Harry Hill
Roger Moore
Isambard Kingdom Brunel
John Lowe
Edward Elgar
Lionel Blair
Tony Hancock
Emile Heskey
John Cleese
Michael Caine

This thread is terrible! You have left out the TRUE heroes, and they are the soldiers who lost their lives fighting Hitler and his kronies, and all the soldiers out it Iraq, Afghanistan, Basra etc etc.

And also the people who came up with Help for Heroes charity!

On that theme I nominate Harry Patch, the last surviving Tommy of the Western trenches
