Grays Watch

Today they drew 1-1 with Halifax in front of 1,800 spectators

Despite the dropped points they remain on top of the conference

But they will be defeated on the 15th October when my second team...Scarborough, beat them!

Don't know about that. Scarborough Stu may have another long drive home. The Sea Dogs are having a bad time of it.

Scarboro are crap, I'll never forgive them for denying us that Chelsea tie at their 'Stadium Of Chips'

I hope Grays give them a damn good thumping!

I think you're blaming the wrong team.

They've got a great bunch of supporters that travel around the whole country watching, what is now, a very poor side... and a bunch of them even came to Grimsby with us hoping to see us promoted.

Respect to them.

Did they? Blimey. They've gone up in my estimation then.

And, I might add that they will also be coming up to Hartlepool to cheer on the mighty shrimpers on a Wednesday night!

Top guys, this lot. Stu is the Chairman of their supporters trust (about 75 in total)! And never misses an away game (poor bugger).

So if your not going to Doncaster on the 15th then please come to the Rec and join me and about 60-70 Seadogs for a sing a long and a few beers!

I quite like them....

But I also have money on them being promoted this year....

As much as I like to see local sides do well, I still have a problem with the chavvyness of their fans and their seemingly complete contempt of us.

There is dissention amongst the ranks though with their East London wideboy of a Chairman threatening to pull out his backing, which if he did, would probably put them on a rollercoaster downwards ala Hornchurch. With a weekly wage bill of £8k they'd struggle. They've had to shut their message board down because of the fans getting on his back and the website manager has resigned due to the pathetic nature of thier petty name calling and arguments.

Blimey. All's not well there, then. You'd think their fans would be happy with their current situation, not just moan about the chairman.

Some fans just don't know when they've got it good...

Ended 1-1. Still at the top of the table though, so my investment looks wise for the time being.....

I think that Grays will have a good season, but either just miss out on the play-offs, or get knocked out in the play-off semi's.

It is their first season in the Conference, and the experience will stand them in good stead.
