Quote[/b] (lucus @ Dec. 09 2004,16:13)]. He hasnt made an impact on the wing before.
yes he has, both last season and the season before. He has played there to great effect. The idea behind it is simple, Tes's best attribute (some would say only) is running with the ball at defenders and unleashing a good shot. Cutting in from the wing he has time to do this and can easily slot into a front three.

But sometimes Titus has the Bramble brain cell.
Maybe in the past. But this season he has looked good. Wayne enjoyed playing along side him (so he said) as he played him through a lot. And at Kidderminster he created countless chances between himself and Dudfield.

I think his main attribute is probably holding and turning with the ball.

(too easy....)
maybe

Right back on topic....

At the start of the season (Well after the 7-0 pre-season match) I was a big fan on Gray, scored 2 well taken goals, showed us his pace, ability to win the ball in the air, his directness and his great heading ability. That wasn't shown again during pre-season (IMHO). He started the season up-front and my admiration for him began to dwindle. I felt he wasn't putting the effort in (Something that ****es me off, because I may not have been as good as him but I'd have worked a lot harder) and a lot of the time his head was down, really needed a goal, which arrived away Vs Lincoln. I thought he'd really push on from their, I thought him and Drewenaldo were the b******s up there. But he struggle to get out of 2nd gear and was rightly dropped.

Since he has got back into the team his been a different player and because of that his won me over again, at the moment I think the fella is class. That spell on the bench worked wonders, well played Tilly/Brush.

Am I the only one who thinks that Fredy and Wayne have little or no understanding up front?

Its a shame as they are two good players, who individually are playing well. But they don´t look to me like a partnership.

I think Eastwood would look twice the player with a fit Jay Smith to play 1-2s with. Gray doesn´t look to have that aspect to his game, probably the only other striker who does is Dudfield.

It would be harsh to drop one, but I think Eastwood-Dudfield or Gray-Bramble would both probably work better as a partnership.

I dunno. Surely excluding Maher, Gray's about the only person who's assisted Eastwood.

They always look to be at least trying to link up when they are playing and consistently play quite close together, a typical sign of a good strike pairing. Personally, I like the combination of one striker who's very quick and one who's a poacher. As long as they link up, that should be an ideal partnership.
