Grand Final

Well like all "greatest comedy film" polls (and quite rightly so IMHO) Life Of Brian takes the crown! Well done to Yorkshire Blue!

Many thanks to everyone that took part and voted.

The Battle of The Best Comedy Films has been a Napster/MK production, (C) 2009

Filmed in front of an almost live audience ?

I'm glad these two are in the final because they're probably my top 2 favourite films of all time. I think Life of Brian edges it.

A fairly predictable final in which MK did well not pair them earlier in the competition. Brian was always favourite, but was pleased to see personal faves like Groundhog Day & Animal House do so well. Shame Porkies didn't do better, but such is life!

Just the luck of draw mate.

Bugger, how did I miss the final??!?! Not that my one vote for Airplane! would have made much difference.

BTW, should you have been tempted to purchase the runner up or check out a few cult classics we discussed along the way, I noticed Play.com had this little bargain on it:

http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/6375...lice-Squad-The-Naked-Gun-Trilogy/Product.html

So you get:

Airplane!
Top Secret
Police Squad (in color!)
Naked Gun 1, 2 & 3

An absolute steal, and possibly the finest 11 or so hours of comedy you could ever hope to buy. Certainly for £10....

Dude, you ****ing rock!!

£9.99 is criminal for that lot. I think I've paid about £250 for it over the years in cinema receipts, VHS tapes and DVDs....

Bargain of the century!! I've never seen Top Secret either.

Will keep me occupied while i'm signed off work again!

I loved it at the time. Rewatching it the other day I couldn't tell whether I've just worn it out or if it's not as good as I remember?

I think it's the former though. It really is a great little flick.
