Echo News Golding goes back to Oxford for check on groin injury

Whether he does or doesn't come back, him attending the dinner is all about repairing and enhancing the clubs name and reputation in the footballing world. He'd contributed massively to the team, which enabled us to be in this position. Gone are the days where we would just bin him off because he's injured. His agent would also appreciate the gesture and his other clients would be told about that if we were ever in for them. It's all positive for the club.

To get him in for next season would be massive for us. And he'd love that, by his reaction up at Sutton when he stood with us. Thats how i read it. Fantastic player at this level for sure. We dont look quite as confident without him, though Ben G has really stepped up to fill the void.
Im my opinion, Golding was the catlyst for our turnaround, not least the Yeovil equaliser.
