GOATER !

I WOULD ALWAYS SUPPORT ANY SOUTHEND PLAYER WEARING THE SHIRT, BUT I CANT BELIVE WE ARE STILL TOP OF THE LEAGUE WHEN ALL SEASON WE HAVE HAD ONLY ONE DECENT FORWARD.GRAY IS VERY POOR & THE GOAT IS WAY OFF THE PACE.LAWSON SHOULD PLAY THE LAST TWO GAMES AND WE MUST BUY TWO MORE FORWARDS FOR THE NEXT SEASON.

Welcome to the board.

Difficult to agree with you entirely about Goater and Gray as both have had good spells throughout the season - and both have contributed to our position. I'll agree in part as both seem to be struggling at this important time.

By the way...

Slaggin off the Goat obviously gives some people a reason to live, but i think he'll come good this weekend. After Sat i would have dropped him but now i'm beginning to think he'll start and score.

But how many goals does gray score from open play, cant remember the last time i saw him score.I would start THE GOAT before GRAY at least he has some idea where the back of the net is.

Goater is not the sort of striker that will score with every chance he gets. He never was even when he played for City. He needs about 3 chances in a game before he gets one but we haven't been creating that many chances lately.
